What first world problem did you have today?

Just want to buy one (1) tire for my vehicle because the other three are still good but the stores did not stock the same brand and I do not want to have mixed brand tires. Will have to order 1 single tire online and it will take about 1 week or so.

My finger hurts; feels like the bone. I screwed two pieces together, but it was sticky, so I had to force it. Couldn't get it seated all the way down, and for awhile, couldn't get it unscrewed. I think trying to get it off was what hurt my finger. Sucks getting old. There's nothing at all better about it aside from (hopefully)learning from mistakes :^/

Went for a hike today, getting home just ahead of a thunderstorm. Got home and cranked the A/C and took a hot shower, intending to take a nap in a nice cozy igloo. As I stepped out of the hot shower, <bam> lightning took the transformer down the block, cutting our power. No A/C for my nap.

I could have used a pipe wrench, but I didn't feel like uncovering the truck, and digging my tools out of the bed in the rain.

I got it on by hand, but I guess I jacked up the threads getting it on. The stud threads were a little deformed when I finally got it off.

One of my former employers is trying to get vested employees to take one of their offers to reduce their unfunded pension liability for our defined benefit plan. I just received the paperwork today and the different options they are offering former employees make me want to puke. Nevertheless I'm going to confer to see what returns I might be looking at if I opted to roll their offered amount into a Roth IRA and continued to grow it along with the regular rate of return.

The thing is that if I accept their lump sum direct roll over into another retirement plan it will relieve them of all benefit liability. I know that pension is protected by ERISA and it's a lifetime benefit. They offered to convert it to a lifetime annuity with a payment less than half of the current benefit but payable starting this December. I really hope that somebody doesn't look at this plan as a way to pay cash for a new car.
