They still have not found the murderer that was last seen near my off grid property. Apparently the person he killed was someone looking at a property for sale. To think of all the time I went out in the bush alone looking at properties, could have easily been me. I just hope he doesn't actually live in that area as it means this is going to be a repeat issue. I have a feeling which general area he's in though and it's a bit out of the way. I've gone by there before but the road is really rough so I tend to take another route.

Just got the final estimate: they want $25,000 to put a new engine into a vehicle I paid $9,000 for 3.5 years ago.2014 BMW X3 with <100,000k miles was idling rough. Took it to the dealership (no good European auto shops in the area) and after 2 days of diagnostics they know that one cylinder has really low compression, but not why. Their recommendation was a blank check to tear it apart to find the root cause or procure and drop in a new engine.
