I usually only play single player on most games so that ends up being a finite amount of time. I suck at RTS even thoug hI enjoy playing so I only do single player and skirmish and that gets boring pretty quick.

I've started devoting quite a bit of time to COD:W@W multiplayer. I like it better than 4 becasue there seems to be faster action and less camping, similar to 2.

Doom series...esp Doom 2

Total Annihilation... an RTS...still play....GREAT

Grand Prix Legends ( best car racing sim ever...most realistic....meaning HARD...)

Call of Duty-MW and COD-WaW...best FPS...

ChessMaster 10, and now Rybka3(current world champ) chess programs...

1) UT '99 (by a wide margin)
2) Star Wars Galaxies
3) Civ III
4) Quake II
5) Lords of the Realm II


The FPS/RTS/MMO genres are very heavily represented in most of the lists here due to their high replayability if made well. A lot of my favorite games don't make anybody's lists due to their limited replayability.

Edit: I can't believe I got #3 (Shattered Galaxy) and #4 (X-Wing) wrong.

Um, others would be BF2, BF1942+mods, Motoracer, and Quake II. No real order. The most by the farthest of fars, is Tribes. None of that T2 garbage either.
