What floor jack do you use?

Got a cheapie low profile jack from Walmart for 50 bucks so I could remove my wheels.

Long story short, it sucked. Mainly because the jacking lever was way too short and required God like force to get the car up more than 2 inches. I didn't want to, but I may need to spring for a steel heavy duty one with a much longer lever. I'd like low profile since my current car is kind of low, and I'm still planning on that corvette some day...

What jack does ATG use?

I have a Costco floor jack - I quite like it.

I probably have the same red arcan 35 that jlee has. Its been a great jack. I supplement it with a cheap aluminum harbor freight 1.5 ton one that I bring to the track with me.

Does it work well for reaching main jack point inner peace the car to lift the entire front or rear at once?

I have a low profile Arcan 2 ton. It was $200 from Amazon, somehow shipped free despite weighing nearly 100 pounds ... I got tired of the cheap autozone ones.

I still have to put wood under my front tires to lift the car D: but otherwise does easily lift the front and rear all at once. Putting the car on 4 jackstands is a 5 minute exercise or less now.

Rotate my tires every to every other oil change and I've always used the included scissor jack and a brick. Lower it just a touch so that most of the weight is on the brick. Been doing this nearly 15 years. I've barrowed those nice heavy-duty roll-about floor jacks, but I probably needed those twice and you still need backup support underneath the car.

That reminds me that I need a new jack set. Have the jack, but the jack accessories are gone. I've been using a long screwdriver to turn the jack in the meantime. I'd just get a heavier built scissor jack for SUVs of the same brand car from the junk yard/ebay/car forums.

Costco has had some nice ones but have not seen them in any recently.

Harbor freights mid to upper end ones are nice, skip the bottom dollar ones.

I have an AC Hydraulics DK13HLQ low profile jack. It's a quality unit, but a bit pricey. Don't really use it anymore now that I have a 4-post lift, but it still comes in handy every once in a while.

I use a HF low profile steel jack, works well for my lowered Trans Am. Still need to jack one side up before the other because I can't reach the very center of my engine cradle, but the jack itself works fine. Have had it maybe 4 years now...

I have a couple napa blues around the farm.. I really like them, but not cheap, but fair value for the money when they go on promo

https://www.napaonline.com/napa/en/p/NLE7916420/NLE7916420

and one of these

https://www.napaonline.com/napa/en/p/NLE7916402/NLE7916402
^^^ thats probably my favorite jack for lifting my cars.

I also have the red colored one from costco... it is a solid jack for the money (about half the promo price of the napa jacks)

this is the "red colored one from costco" the arcan xl35r. not sure if you can find them, but like the article says, they were $100... very good value

http://www.adamsautoadvice.com/best-floor-jack-ever-arcan-xl35r-from-costco/

IMHO don't get an aluminum one... ive had a couple of different ones along the way and none have held up. those that I listed have held up well. OTC is another brand to look into that should last for many yrs

You chose poorly. Walmart's Black Jack jacks have enough bad reviews to cause major concern with regards to the durability of their trolley jacks.

Harbor has two steel jacks, and on is low profile. You should wait/hunt for a coupon to bring it down to 69.99.
If weight is a problem, then you might want to look at aluminum jacks.

I have a Craftsman SUV hydraulic jack, it's probably 15 years old now & never had to replace a seal.

Yeah it was a snap purchase. I live in a fairly rural area and the only real hardware place near by is a Sears. I shop for almost everything I buy now a days on Amazon. Closest harbor freight is probably an hour away I'm guessing. I can check these links later today as none of these are on Amazon. I found 2 steel lifts that for good reviews but weren't any of the aforementioned products here.

Weight not an issue, I don't travel with it... Or well I don't plan to at least. Number one thing is low profile and ability to reach the front lifting joint in the center of body. I'm willing to spend 150+ if it lasts me decades.

I have a blue aluminum low-profile jack from Costco. I don't recall the brand but it has been good to me for many years.

I'm looking at this one on Amazon :

Powerzone 380044 3 Ton Aluminum and Steel Garage Jack

Could you guys see if this will do?

Still going to look into the others suggested here, as well.

I had a sears 3 ton for a long time but it started leaking. I bought a harbor freight jack that works pretty well. I also have a low profile aluminum jack I use for the M3 since its low to the ground.

Low profile quick-lift jack from Harbor Freight. Worked great out of the box, and has for the two years I've had it in occasional use.

I see a few mention SUV jacks. Would these SUV jacks work for trucks too? I've been thinking about getting one, we have an SUV and a truck. Any difference or will they work the same?
