What games have you played recently that you really enjoyed?

RCT3 is so much fun..even now.

I've been playing the heck out of DragonFront. It's a Hearthstone/MTG clone crossed with Archon(if you remember those games) of sorts for the Rift VR. It works on a grid system and is pretty deep. Quite addictive.

It certainly helps. but is not 100% required.

You dont need to spend alot to get a good stick either, i got a Saitek X52 onsale for $60 a few years ago now and its been great.

I've been getting lost in Empyrion - Galactic Survival lately. Really surprising me. A great mix of Minecraft, Starmade, and Space Engineers.

Cossacks 3. I have barely touched other games since I bought this.

It's a RTS, much like AOE.

I hope Cossacks 3 does really well (glad to see GSC back in action). Mostly because if they do, I feel like the chances of getting a S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 are higher.

Picked up Carmageddon: Max Damage and XCOM 2 yesterday as self b-day presents. Also ordered Transport Fever because of reasons.

Carmageddon is the exact same as the original my 14 year old self loved with stupid gratuitous violence in a package that goes out of it's way to be offensive, it's great. The version I have comes with a built in mod to replace all the people with Trump, Clinton or Trump and Clinton complete with little sound bites when you hit them. Clinton bleeds blue and Trump bleeds orange. Good for when you don't want to use your brain.

XCOM 2 is pretty good so far but it still isn't X-COM. Event though it carries over most of the unX-COMy stuff from the first one it does seem a bit better. I think it is the refined combat and better story telling, if you are going to put me on rails you better give me some decent narrative to go along with them. Once I had some aliens trapped on a roof so I used a grenade to set a fire that burned the building down which was pretty awesome.

I'm seeing too many 7's in reviews. It's lacking features and needs patches.

I can easily overlook it's flaws. A little more polish and it's easily a 9/10 game, it's certainly a top 10 RTS I ever played already.

The unit count (10k max) alone gives battles depth that other games just don't have.

I could send a few thousand troops to capture a fortress, confident of their success at the begin of the maneuver but barely surviving towards the end of it.

If the objective is to defend, games with lower unit caps tend to make it easy to protect an area with defensive structures. Building a dozen cannon towers and calling it a day for that part of the map does not work here. AI uses artillery effectively and reaching the AI camp doesn't always mean a easy victory, the last reserves AI may have can take the sweetness out of the victory.

I have the first game but didn't really even play it at all. I tried it once only I think, back when I was a drunk so it wasn't really a fair chance.

But Exodus is great. I just keep playing Tarkov so I haven't gotten back to Exodus in months.

Hell yes I am! I like that game a lot. I spend a ton of time on Shoreline. Probably too much time, but since LedX's now spawn there I'm okay with my shameless addiction to that map.

A buddy and I are trying DeadlySlob's hardcore rule set right now. It's fun! Entirely punishing for simple mistakes, but I'm re-learning a lot of stuff about threat assessment, positioning, movement, aggression, etc.

I was very surprised by how much I liked Bioshock 2 recently. I think it just had the misfortune of following BS1 and it was never going to fill those shoes, but if you play it with enough distance to other games in the series, it's a really excellent game.

Bit nonplussed by it; went back to playing Warband with 1257 AD mod. I'll wait until that caliber of game play and immersion comes to Bannerlord via modders before I come back to it; doesn't offer much over Warren's best mods except shiny new graphics.

Warband has fantastic mods; Bannerlord feels like vanilla warband with some prettier graphics.

You are doing yourself a great disservice by not playing it. I see nobody mentioning With Fire and Sword and that's probably a good thing. That game was a mess from the start and was never really fixed, though I still want to go back and finish a play-through one of these days.
