What good games are expected in 2002?

I haven't been checking up on the games recently, so what's is good and exciting that's coming up? Is HALO really coming out to the pc? Will lucasarts release rogue leader to the pc as they did with every other console action game (ie. rogue squadron, battle of naboo, starfighter, etc...)? Any MOHAA expansions? Just any game that u think will be good post it here. THanks.

I don't know how I feel about MOO3 having real time battles with a bazillion ships. Then again, we must all buy it so they get the hint and make Master of Magic 2.

Icewind Dale 2 is looking up with the new interface on the infinitity engine, and I'd vote for Arx Fatalis (aka Ultima underworld 3 to some folk) as the darkhorse candidate.

keep in mind that they planned on releasing TF2 before TFC......TFC was released 3 years ago.

Probably what they were talking about. But FWIW, the big things that broke the game (the stupid save system that let you respawn halfway though a level back in the middle of a fire fight--how they thought that was more realistic than being able to just save and reload, I dunno) are probably easy to fix and the sequel will probably be stellar--though it will probably be lost in a flood of bigger name games.


And speaking of games that were lost in a flood (and had similar problems to Hitman), Project IGI 2!

I'm not sure when Dungeon Siege came out, but I downloaded the playable demo today. All 183 meg of it! :Q

I rather like it.. it's quite reminiscent of Origin's Ultima 9(a game I did actually finish), in as far as the movment/scenery and changing views work, but WITHOUT all the dang bugs!!

Yes, I rather like it - I'm looking forward to purchasing the full version.

I went to IGN to check out DX2 and every other page is another ad. Pretty annoying.

Anyway, what kind of system will most of these games require?

I don't really do single player so I'm not going to buy UT2003 AND Unreal2003. That's such a ripoff IMO. But then again, Unreal and UT did okay going that route.

Neither Doom3 or Quake 4 are out this year...Even the BIG ass posters at E3 for Doom 3 say 2003. I'd imagine D3 early 2003, while Q4 will be in the summer (space in between like UT2003 and U2)

Supposedly a UT2003 demo at the end of this month.
