Thanks for the input on the Vega 64. I thinking I will get a "place holder card". Maybe a RX580? Then decide on something more up to date. Prices are definitely coming down. I don't play at high resolutions. I usually play at 1680x1050. I play on my Sony 55" 4k LED TV and when I use higher resolutions I have trouble reading text. Eye aren't what they used to be. I'm also playing older stuff. And going from an FX8350 7970x2 to a 2700X RX590 would be huge upgrade for me. Any other sub 100 dollar suggestions? I do want to stick with an AMD card though. I used to use Nvidia way back but switched to AMD with my 8500.
If you cannot afford to get an rx6600 for $260:

Then yes, a rx580 is not the worst choice.
Know that any card you find will have spent serious time in the mines, so your likely looking at a fan replacement in the near future. Depending on how it was used, possibly a BIOS flash.
Some people will suggest a repasting is necessary, but I would avoid that if possible. The stock thermal pads always seemed good to me. Getting replacement thermal pads with the right thickness and stiffness is always a bit difficult.
Also take a hard look at the rx590s. They tend to be 18 months younger then the rx580s, about 6% faster, and consume a bit more power. But prices also run about the same as a rx580, and by virtue of being manufactured 18 months after most rx580s, it will have less wear and tear on it.
