I grew up in rural Oklahoma, where the emphasis in our high school was on Vocational Agriculture and Vo-Tech schools. They basically expected everyone to be a farmer or mechanic.
9th Grade = algebra 1
10th Grade = Geometry, these two were all that was required to graduate.
10th Grade = Algebra 2
11th Grade = Trigonometry/Advanced math class (this is what they called it, basically precalc)
12th Grade = AP Calculus, taken via satellite from the OSU campus.
