What happened to California Graphics?

Okay - I've got an old California Graphics Photon 100 HC (one of the original decent Super 7 mobo providers)... I took a long AFK.. so I'm not really sure what happened, but they have apparently disappered off the net (go ahead... visit thier web site). Here's the tech support side of it all... where can I find updates/the online manual ? If anyoen knows what has happened, please post. I guess it's time to move on to the next generation of processors, no? Much thanks in advance.

They've been down before, but there are a ton of 'Little Guys' going out of business.

I've got Photon 100 HC as well. If you need info, etc, I'll try to help.

Mine is presently running fine btw.

Have any of you had success in installing K6-3+ 450 cpu on the california graphics photon HC mobo ?

After a nightmare getting the thing (delays and returns), my Photon 100 HC has been running wonderfully for years.

I have a save copy of the zip file for the v1.6 and v1.9 BIOSes. If anyone needs a copy, email me at benjy@alum.mit.edu, and I will send it to you.

I talked to the clueful support guy a few months ago, before their web site went dark (I called on a Saturday outside business hours and managed to catch the person who had written the BIOS updates). He said they had no plans to release a BIOS update for the K6-III+, but since they had not seen one of those chips did not know whether or not the current BIOS would work with it.

The company posing as California Graphics USA, did so as the US distributor to the international California Graphics company which designed and manufactured the board. They may still be in business under their other name. I think that was printed on my invoice, but I do not have it anymore.

could you please PM me both the versions of bios. I have a K6-3+ cpu and will let you all know if it works after flashing with the latest bios.
