What happened to DDR PC2100 RAM prices?

Hey guys,

I been a little behind the times and haven't been keeping up with hardware prices... but if I recall, last fall the prices for these modules at Crucial were running about $35 apiece... why are they so high now? Is this because DDR is the new standard? Just a little confused.... If anyone could clarify it would be appreciated...

its more like RAM prices returned to normal than shot up. Basic laws of supply and demand should explain price trends. Companies lowered their prices to get everyones attention.... and then jacked up the price right before holidays... a company that doesn't make money, doesn't survive.
