what has happened to Creative's Gilde Wrapper?

hi!

about 2 years ago, i read in a computer magazine, that creative was developing a kind of "professional glide wrapper" for their Nvidia graphic cards. 3dfx of course was not happy about that and so they took creative to court. does anyone know if this thing was ever released and if yes, where to get it?

Creative released it to their card users only; however, 3dfx sued them, so they stopped providing it.

My question to you is why? Most games that are played today are Direct 3d or Open G/L.

Glide is a 16 bit API that is no longer needed.

It can be downloaded here. You need to own a creative card (TNT/2,Geforce1/2) to get it and use it. This was the last release of Unified it's only beta so some games won't work and the ones that do might have texture corrution.

@imustbecrazy: i do not need it very urgently, but there some older games that require glide.
