Get them to finance your computer/software purchases.

I mean, you can buy a 7900GT and add a custom silent fan to it, but you won't find a 7900GT nearly as quiet as those 7600GTs are. If noise is your priority over performance, the Asus silent 7600GTs can't be beaten.

Whats so bad about 2 7600s? Im a college student who only plays games when I have an ounce of free time, its not like i need to run my games at 1920x1200 with 8x AA at 90 fps. I still need to finish my games that the 7600s would do very well on.

I don't think people are taking issue with your buying a 7600. It's just the fact that you bought 2 of them, when I'm pretty sure 7600 SLI is more expensive and slower than a 7900.

If you're not going to run at high resolutions as you say, such as 1920x1200, then you won't really be getting much benefit from an SLI config, as those setups are specifically designed to benefit high-resolution displays. You really won't see much of a jump from a single 7600 to 7600 SLI if it's a lower res. If it's possible, you'd be better off switching those up for a nice single card solution, or just going with a single 7600.

Well if thats the worst mistake I've made with this build, then I'm still better off than the choices I made when I first built a computer for myself.

Sometimes I'll feel bad about spending a lot money, especially within a certain period. I have a tendency to want to pay bills off faster and end up buying other things instead. The bills still get paid of course, just not the concept of paying say $500 instead of $100... it ends up more like paying $200 instead of $100.

Oh well, at least I can fill my life with digital happiness .
