As far as "continuing the human race", I assume they would just take sperm from pre-op trans women and use that for artificial insemination.
Also, I assume women who are already pregnant will have boys, so, there wont need to be some kind of scif YY + YY chromosome parent.

Dude, he's not talking about women's ability to do construction, he's talking about the current quantity of women in construction - especially heavy construction. The oil/gas industry is also predominantly male. There'd be a huge amount of initial chaos until those positions could be filled.

You sound pretty dumb. Connect the dots here. Those women were sent out to work due to wartime effort. Now with no men they would be sent out again to do those once masculine dominated jobs.

Point is they previously demonstrated their ability to perform the work. I imagine since there have been a steady increase of women in the workplace as well as those above-mentioned fields, you'd have more women and more effective.

I didn't think to exclude already pregnant women and post-trans. But regardless I'm thinking genetic engineering would fix any of this. It's just the coordination and how they want to do it.

Is it even possible to genetically engineer your way into some sort of artificial Y chromosome, or an asexual reproduction cycle? Beyond pure cloning, I mean... I guess that's a useful stopgap.

Hypothetical question.

I've thought about this for some time now. Assuming one day men as well as all the sperm within sperm banks disappeared from earth. There was no reason, trace or explanation but one day they are gone. How would the existing women on earth handle the situation. I'm not asking this to debate the intellectual ability of men or women, both genders are of equal capabilities. I'm asking how do you think they will band together to continue the human race. Would they try to use the existing scientific data to create other more men (genetic engineering)? Would they keep it female only, since it might mean less wars, violence, etc? Would the world be a better place?

Now let's also ask the question in reverse. Considering that men do not contain a womb, etc, how will they create life? How will they deal with this situation, will they try to create women?

Just some thought, I'm not trolling, i'm serious about this....

It's true that woman are rarely seen in certain trades, like never seen a woman in construction or mining, or lineman etc. I'm sure it happens and that's cool to see, but it's just very rare. It's not like companies are forbidding them though, it's just that they are less likely to want to do those jobs, just like guys are less likely to work at places that do manicures and stuff. Some professions just tend to attract a gender more than the other.

I imagine if all men vanished, and the human race (now all woman) realizes that there is no longer any chance of surviving, would perhaps either accept it's fate and live on till everyone is dead, or perhaps some groups would experiment, like perhaps even beastiality but at a more scientific level, like try to figure out how you can reproduce with another male animal and modify genes to try to get something as close as possible to a human to come out. I imagine it would not exactly be a girl having sex with a monkey, but probably more like injecting GMO sperm of one in the vagina. It would probably be rather contreversal and not everyone would participate but it would be an option for those who want kids. Once they get the genetics right they could probably get it to resemble a human. It would probably take many generations though.

Overall I think the human race would probably be pretty done at that point but I'm sure there would still be attempts to keep it going.

Eventually wild life would start to take over and the planet would eventually fix itself from all the damage we've done to it.

And in my 30+ years as a crane/heavy equipment operator, I saw women in all of those except heavy laborer positions. (concrete finishers would be another where women were rare...but not unheard of) (just like in most places I've been, it was unusual to see white men doing concrete work...usually black crews...or mexicans)

One of the toughest (attitude) iron workers I ever worked with was a woman. She used to talk about going home and beating her bitch...and she had a little scraggly chin-beard) Good hand though. I'd have worked with her anytime.
The first woman operator I ever worked with was a champ...if she had to pee, instead of driving to one of the porta-johns, (like some of the men did) she dropped her coveralls and pissed behind the cab of her scraper. Worked harder than any of the guys in her crew...and didn't bitch half as much. I only worked with a couple of women crane operators...with mixed results. One was the girlfriend of the equipment superintendent...and wasn't worth a shit in the seat...most of the others were good, reliable operators.

Maybe it's an east coast/west coast difference...I don't know, but saying there are no women in construction is silly.

I don't imagine anyone really arguing that women couldn't do the work. However, they have to be trained by someone. If, as the OP proposes, all men suddenly disappeared I think the problem in male dominated fields is that no one will be left behind to train the women. During WWII there were men experienced in the fields who were left behind and could train the women (or any new worker for that matter).
