I love thunderstorms. I'm always amazed when I watch on radar how they dissipate just before reaching here, else break into two halves, with half passing to the North and half passing to the South of where I live. I was also slightly amused when I figured out that on one side of the hill behind me, rain runoff eventually makes its way to the Mississippi river. On this side, it eventually makes it to Lake Ontario.
(But, when the thunderstorms DO hit, I'm actually a little afraid. Frequent cloud to ground lightning; I have a lot of trees on the hill that have been hit; two trees in front of my house have been hit, our neighbor's electric fence has been hit, and 2 trees right behind my barn have been hit. - all in one year.)
