I hate to break this to you, but even college grads, including those with advanced degrees and professional degrees, are having a difficult time finding jobs in their fields. There is almost no correlation between what each person makes and how productive they are.
Productivity is based more on personal ability and motivation than on how much someone makes.
I have worked with and managed hundreds of people and have seen this first hand dozens and dozens of times.

I have done that very thing . When working at low wages. I know about low wages. When I started out 80 hours aweek 75 cents an hour . I know poor . I married poor and was poor. But I married spirit and I had spirit. not sure anymore. I can set back and say . Other than health . There is nothing more in the matrial world I want . I don't use half of what I have . YA I got mad at co workers. They were slacking I know all this. But I busted nut . If I wasn't feeling well I would leave. Every place I was every employed hourly straight wage. I gave it everthing I had. Ya it hurt I had to carry people . Everyone ask why you work so hard. I said I agred to x $ for 1 hour of my work . What ya see is what ya get. I was always Top production . But when I worked Piece work . Those lazy assholes could work after all. I was only average. But Average in piece work is what you want to do . Get greedy company changes standards. SO ya your Right . But your wrong. If your going to pay someone $15 an hour . I know you with all your valuable training well deny this . But you know its fact . If your going to pay $15 an hour be Smart about it . Don't be retard. Offer the Job at $10 with instintives to make $15 . We have proved this. Because we tested . Yet they still refused to use. Its all about control nothing todo with making people feel good about themselves. the pay is the same yet they choose the least productive way to implament . THats retarded .
