I recently got a new PC (a Dell Inspiron 5675). Everything's working great, except that after I installed and started using Chrome, I noticed that my cookies would be completely wiped out every time I closed and re-opened the browser.
I'm talking, like, really common sites such as Gmail, Facebook, and the AnandTech forums. I can log into any of these sites and use them normally, but as soon as I close out my browser and re-open it, it's like I never logged into them in the first place. (Gmail is especially annoying, because not only do I have to re-log every time I open the browser, but I also have to use my 2-factor authentication every time as well.)
This doesn't happen on IE11 or Edge. So far, it appears to be exclusive to Chrome.
I've checked my Chrome settings. I certainly do not have it set to automatically clear everything on exit (there's an option for it, but it's disabled). I've also tried disabling every one of my extensions, but that doesn't help either.
I don't think I have any programs running in the background that would be deleting things. I keep my environment very "clean"; very few background processes are running. The only thing I can think of is that maybe some Dell-specific background program keeps deleting my stuff, but I don't know why that would be.
Any ideas?
