I really don't see illegal immigration as an issue. There's not really any debate. I mean, I can't remember the last time that I've met someone who thinks that what is going on is OK, no one thinks that our borders should be wide open or that people should be given a tax-free pass to live here. The issue is that the government won't FIX IT. There's no debate about what needs to be fixed. Congress just won't do it.

That's the Catch 22 that our very own goverment has put in place. There should not be an automatic citizenship granted to a child if his/her parents are here either temporary or illegal.

Your kid should not be a citizen just because he was born on our soil. So deport both of them.

A cultural issue is a debate over something that is understood primarily by group beliefs and traditions, as opposed to say political or scientific issues. Gay marriage is a political issue because it can only be resolved through courts or legislation. The origin of homosexuality in genetics versus environment is a scientific question, because it can only be settled through logic and evidence. Whether homosexuality is morally "wrong" or not is a cultural issue, because there is no definitive source for an answer, just a bunch of people defining their group identity by what position they choose. If you think there is an infallible source of answers to cultural issues (the Bible, John Stewart, Sharia, Ayn Rand etc.) you are dumb.
