I can't get it why there are so many people who support a communist candidate. Sanders makes up all those nasty catch phrases such as "democratic socialist" but in fact he is just a commie. Communism is the thing of the past and can't see a person who sees nothing bad in communism being the president of the US. Seriously, his political agenda is nothing but a bunch of populist cliches.

Isn't he at ~20% while Hilary is at ~40-45%? I don't think Hilary has anything to be afraid of. And even many liberals would be wary of expanding the open borders welfare state. Cloward-Piven liberals are a minority in the party.

Does it really matter? Unless he starts talking about dictating huge changes without congressional approval, it doesn't really matter. He has simple (and some reasonable) ideals that if they are properly put through congress and voted on / adjusted as people see fit, then that's fine by me.

There isn't a whole lot a president can do, so it's often stupid how much emphasis we put on electing a president. They are the head honcho of the EXECUTIVE branch, which means they are in charge of EXECUTING the current laws. Not making new ones.

His stated goal before announcing his joining the race was to pull Hillary to the left. That Hillary has denounced the Trade Deal that the Obama Admin. has recently crafted where she was all for it prior to Sander's joining the race means he has already served his purpose.

To everyone's surprise, Sanders proved much more popular than anyone could have imagined, and that gives him the necessary pull to force Hillary further to the left than she'd like. Whether she will back up her "change of heart" if and when she gets elected, is a whole 'nother topic of discussion.

Bernie accomplished what he set out to do. Everything else he gets done is gravy as far as he is concerned.

#1 - real communism never existed. Communism is pure theory. Humanity is too corrupt in properly executing communism. What HAS existed was dictatorships and authoritarianism. What you 'know' of communism has been nothing more than corrupted real world examples.

#2 - this must be your 1st time looking at the US political & government system, because if it wasn't, you would know that the other two branches of our government would stomp Bernie's ass if he tried to instill his 'commie' views. Furthermore, Obama has been accused of PURE communism - yet, no one has to wait in line for bread or is being oppressed in a legitimate manner.

Yup. It's difficult to appreciate Sanders with a low IQ. You need to have a higher than average IQ to see past the word "socialist" and understand exactly what it is that he's advocating.
