I like Old Spice Classic, at least I think that's what it's called. Not anti-perspirant, blue, comes in a stick. In my experience, it lasts longer than most, irritates my skin less, and women like the smell of it

I came in here to recommend this also. Old Spice Classic "Original Scent". I have received plenty of compliments on the smell

I used Axe Phoenix Dry for a while but I use the gel version now. I've tried a few deodorants and it's the only one that doesn't give me a rash. Old Spice was the worst offender.

Back in the US, I liked the Old Spice original scent anti-perspirant. The anti-perspirant in dry form was a bit hard to find sometimes.

Out here though, I had been having a hard time finding a deodorant. A few stores will carry the Gillette gel kind but I hate gels. It wasn't until recently that I actually took a closer look at the deodorant offerings and what I thought were the women's brand of small roll-on stick deodorant were actually men's deodorant. It's a liquid that rolls on using a ball, like a ball-point pen. This is the one that I have been using:

Works pretty good and it dries quickly so it applies a lot better than the gels (which always just glommed on and never dried quickly) or the sticks (which always caked up and flaked). I don't think I ever saw these back in the States but would definitely use them from now one if I can find them.

EDIT: Deodorant version: http://www.amazon.com/Nivea-Silver-Protect-24hr-Deodorant/dp/B002JI6IG6/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top

I think roll on deodorant fell out of favor in the US. It was pretty big in the 80s, but I haven't seen it as much lately; course I haven't been looking really hard either.

Before I needed to buy deodorant. I don't know why it would have fallen out of favor. In fact, what is the point of the gel crap?

... Great, now I have a shit load of deodorant links in my history for all my coworkers to wonder about.

I use degree. works well for me.

I get Degree Absolute Protection at Costco. 5 sticks for about $12.

Works very well for me.

HOWEVER, all youse folks are missing one very important thing...

The OP is a Canuckistanian...and with a name like Red Squirrel, he's probably a Frenchie...Soap and water would be a good first step.

Mitchum unscented roll-on. Works great for the wife, too.

Mitchum was markedly the best product tested in Consumer Reports.

I can confirm that it is indeed the best! Absolutely amazing how this stuff keeps you dry and stink free!

Been using Speedstick Plus forever but it seems to be not as effective as before on me. Does one's body get used to a particular antiperspirant after a while and develops some kind of 'resistance'?
