I've been looking at MR2s but the interior is horrible...ive looked at 300zx but the price is just too steep for most of them...then we have the BMW e36s...but most of them become money pits...is there anything else...i dont want an F body...what other rear wheel drive cars am i overlooking.

Two friends of mine have e36s (1995 318 and 1993 325)...i have gotten a chance to drive both of them...i need something more powerful than the 150 weeny horsies in the 318...other than that...the price of the cars as a whole is a littel too much... but worth it maybe...

I'd love to hear some inputs of sports car rear wheel drive owners as well as FF sports cars.

That was my first choice...cept i hate that they couldnt bring teh original engine over...286 (s50b32 makes 321hp) instead of 240...and also the price is a littel steep...but man does that car haul. But overall i think the m3 would be the best bang for the buck.

yea i agree with the mustang...but i just need soemthing a little more refined...miata is also in the back of my mind...but a turbo would be a must, otherwise thats an excellent handling car.

a used Miata or Mustang

you are in no shape to get a FR car for that type of money. Why don't you put it aside until you get $20-30k

For that price range, if you do want to settle with FF, then integra or prelude would be the choice.

the bottom line is: you can't really get a fast FR sport car with that type of money unless you know how to restore some older car.

Not going to find one for under $10k unless it has really high miles or some other problem. Mustangs and camaros/firebirds are about it if you want something newish with real power. Miatas are doable but slow as hell stock and even with one of the cheaper turbo/supercharger are still fairly slow. I am really thinking about selling my mustang and getting a cheaper miata myself and adding forced induction. Haven't done the 2 seater convertible thing yet and want to get it out of the way .

AE86!
Be Takumi and start drifting in the mountains while delivering Tofu to the residents nearby. Watch out though, there seems to be an awfully a lot of people also drifting in the Mountains, so definitely beware.

240SX S13 style, they can be had in coupe, hatchback, or convertible form. $3,000 gets you one in great shape with relatively low miles. The engines go forever and trannsy too.

For more speed, spend $2-3K and swap in a turbocharged RB20 engine from Japan.

Another great choice:

MR2 from the early to mid 90's

most of those cars have been modified and arent original anymore...and the prices have been inflated to ridiculous heights just cuz america found out theres this thing called drifting, but ill keep them in mind.
