Actually I got a really stupid ticket for making a non-emergency stop on the side of the freeway from this jerk CHP officer - $271!!

Turned out to be a moving violation... go figure. I wasn't moving, I was parked.

In any case, the CHP sucks

Before you jump to conclusions without knowing the context which simple-minded people tend to do, allow me to explain why I stopped. I was caravaning with my girlfriend, and she got pulled over. Thus I pulled over, and the cop gave me a ticket.

If you did not break any laws except for stopping for another vehicle which was traveling with you, you should be able to dispute the ticket easily.

its illegal to drive WITH chains on your tires here, assuming thats what you mean. As if Michigan roads were in good enough condition to warrant them to stop chains from damaging the pavement.

Any vehicle movement that results in reckless or foolish behavior. Such as speed exhibition:" how fast can my vehicle get up to 60mph".
In Calif.for 2002, children under 60lbs have to sit in a child seat device..if not, it is now concidered a "moving violation"
