i see that some new mother boards come/support with DPS, i think it means dual power supply or something like that, what does it do and what is it good for?
not sure but i think these are talking about a voltage/power regulator for the cpu. alot of server boards come with these. they basically act as a backup for the capacitors on the motherboard. course i'm talking out my ass so this could all be wrong
are you talking about the gigabyte boards where you can install that riser card with the extra voltage regulators? What it does it turn it into a six phase regulator if i recall correctly. From reviews i've read it doesn't help overclocking at all though.
