The thing is, the creatures at the top of the food chain, when they die, are broken down by bacteria and microbes in the soil. So really, how "top" are these creatures (including us) when we end up being food for the smallest organisms on earth?

Mmmm pie. I'm thinking it is a good day for a cherry - cheese pie with a graham cracker crust, layer of cream cheese filling, topped with cherries and more graham crackers ... homemade graham crackers made with honey and butter. Good thing my wife thinks so too. She loves me. Who needs a god when your spouse likes to bake and is good at doing so?

I like how he's an atheist that uses "GD" as an explative.

Atheists don't believe in God....it sounds more to me that this guy is an Agnostic. He's not totally sold on what he's trying to sell everyone else. Classic example of emo blogging.

I'm an atheist who still uses the term "god damn". I've come to accept certain things, like such expletives, including "Jesus Christ!" or "Christ!", as simply that, expletives. They convey the desired meaning, are easy to understand, and just work. I don't care to demand everyone know I am an atheist through simple passing comments, though those interested I definitely will discuss the topic.

My mom has even brought that up, as my family knows I am an atheist, and that I have used such phrases that include some religious concept.

Hell, the word "damn" is religious if you dive down enough. To damn someone, or for someone to be damned, used to convey the concept that the individual is basically screwed in the eyes of god (to sum it up as quickly as I can).

I'll say bless you, on occasion. But in general, I try not to even say anything after someone sneezes, unless it's a small group and it would seem disrespectful to not say anything (such as to someone important). In general, I find the use of acknowledging a sneeze to be worthless. We all do it, it no longer represents something crazy that god needs to bless someone for. But whatever. And I refuse to say gazuntite (sp?), as that's just ridiculous and well... not English... so equally worthless imho (not that other languages are worthless, but rather... use your own language when talking to someone).

However, my point basically... I am just going to say what most easily describes what I am trying to convey. Why waste time saying something more lengthy, or not as easily understood.

Close. "Gesundheit". You should say it after someone farts.
