Why would it be stupid? I wouldn't say they have a monopoly by any means but I have no problem considering t a market. A smaller market sure but a legit one. Hell computer moding is a large enough hobby that there is a market dedicated just to moders and companies that only make moding accessories.

I meant that the category of "peripherals" is so large that I wouldn't consider the whole damn thing a "market". I guess this boils down to the semantics of what you would consider a "market". Some would say the only thing Logitech deals in is "peripherals", as I'm not quite sure they really make anything else.

I'm not that brand loyal. If a company has a good reputation I'll consider their products, but I usually look at companies I've dealt with before - or reject ones I don't like. For instance I'd buy from Asus, MS and Logitech again, but not Lexmark.

Car: Subaru
Laptops: Lenovo... although it might change if netbooks get cheaper than 200

I'm not mindlessly loyal to anyone, thats how bad purchases get made. Its also how bad companies do bad things to people for years at a time. Having said that, theres a few brands that have done so well over the years they are entitled to a mistake or two and still may get my support.
Toyota, ignoring their Scion line. ATI. HP (only for printers and monitors). Phillips, mostly just for CRT's, I know nothing of their LCD's. Sony for general stuff, even though they are overpriced. Coke. New Coke was not so bad I couldnt get over it. Nintendo, even though they've been progressively pissing me off after the SNES. For the same reasons, Square-Enix.
And finally, the most important: Willy Wonka.

None.

Everybody makes good things and bad.

LG and Samsung have great ratings for washers/dryers. BUt both of them make awful dishwashers.
Goodyear has good and bad tires.

and so on... I buy the best Item at the best price from what ever brand that is. My kitchen will have a Jenn-air oven, GE stove top, LG fridges, and a Maytag dishwasher.
Cars between my wife and I that we have had or have... Corvette, CTS, Mazda truck, Saab 900, Toyota, etc...

I wouldn't buy cars from a company that covered up it's acceleration problems that caused injuries.

You should probably realize that pretty much all car companies have done this in one form or another. Toyota was just the most recent.

I have no loyalty to any company.
I generally prefer certain companies because of their track record of making quality products or providing quality service.
But when I choose them, I'm choosing them because of their quality, NOT any kind of loyalty.

I'm a big fan of Honda. From my experience driving vehicles from many different companies, I believe Honda makes the most reliable, best engineered vehicles of any manufacturer. The only reason we got rid of our Pilot and bought a Suburban is because Honda doesn't make a vehicle that can comfortably seat 7 and still have enough cargo room for our family of 7.
