I have no idea; I’ve never watched the original.
Next your going to say you don't know what Goatse is.

Knowing what Goatse is would be part of the reason I've never seen 2G1C. Tubgirl was also excellent guidance.Next your going to say you don't know what Goatse is.

in truth, I really actually do love "Fistfull of Dollars" as well as The 1960 Magnificent Seven.Fair point though - almost none of those remakes were any good (though, surely The Magnificent Seven was pretty good, viewed in isolation? And there's at least one there that wasn't a particularly good movie in the first place.).
How so? Top shelf Scorcese (The Departed). A remake is unimaginable, it was fantastic, funny as shit, cracks me up every time. This is a joke, right?
Spaceballs is my fave Mel Brooks. After having suffered through a hellscape of Star Wars movies, it was the perfect antidote.Spaceballs.
Any Mel Brooks film for that matter.
I make it a point to skip trailers until AFTER I see a movie. The beginning of D&D is so great, almost as great (if that's possible) as Office Space!Dumb and dumber. The trailers were all so cringe-worthy, I could never watch it. But . . . and this is probably my shitty memory at work - I vaguely remember that they ran ads for this for so long (theater then dvd maybe?) I almost couldn't take it anymore.
That movie was perfect for its time. To make fun of the fear of nuclear war was AFAIK unheard of until that hit the big screen. It was revolutionary cinema. Terry Southern gets a lot of credit for that.Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb
The Departed is a remake, buddy. How so? Top shelf Scorcese (The Departed). A remake is unimaginable, it was fantastic, funny as shit, cracks me up every time.
Never worked for me.Pulp Fiction LOL.
Infernal Affairs is a Hong Kong action thriller. The Departed was made in English on the other side of the world, a different culture, it's hardly a remake in the sense of this thread. Peter Jackson's King Kong is a remake, a really really good remake and around 80 years later, which also puts it outside the focus of this thread IMO. 80 years later is hardly a remake because it's a different world. So is Martin Scorsese's The Departed a different world from the Hong Kong of Infernal Affairs. RT scores are what they are, they only count for so much. The Departed is a remake, buddy.
Infernal Affairs. Even has a higher Rotten Tomatoes score than The Departed.

You're clearly a moron. Reread my post above, I was editing it. But it's probably wasted on you.you're an idiot.
Even more of your buffoonery AFTER you edited your post from what I quoted. FYI - RT doesn't use a 1-10 point system. It's based on a percentage of 0-100%.BTW, I grabbed The Departed's RT rating a few years back at 8.2 and Infernal Affairs' RT rating at 7.5, so no.
I got my info in 2018 at RT's website. I'm not wasting my time seeing what they are posting now. They have a different system now, here's what I had for Infernal Affairs in 2018:Even more of your buffoonery AFTER you edited your post from what I quoted. FYI - RT doesn't use a 1-10 point system. IA has a higher score than The Departed on RT. Go fucking look at the website, jeeze.
You're not just a moron, you're brainless. Is that all you can do is quote and denigrate? Jackass!you're an idiot.
Infernal Affairs - Wikipedia
en.m.wikipedia.org
"With star power, visual allure, and an engaging script, Andrew Lau and Alan Mak’s Infernal Affairs /《無間道》(2002) did very well critically and financially, spawned two sequels and a television series, and attracted the attention of Hollywood.[21] In 2003, Brad Pitt's production company Plan B Entertainment acquired the rights for a Hollywood remake, named The Departed, which was directed by Martin Scorsese..."
You're a child. I didn't quote anything to begin with. You implied I was wrong and I provided proof. It's not some big Hollywood secret that The Departed is a remake of IA. Grow up and admit you're wrong. You're not just a moron, you're brainless. Is that all you can do is quote and denigrate? Jackass!
You're digging deep with the personal attack styling. I am not wrong, nor am I not wrong about not being wrong. I think YOU have some growing up to do. Projection any? You're a child.
