The TBird AHYJA is a specific revision of the Athlon Thunderbird core. The revision (stepping) AHYJA has a reputation for being particularly successful at overclocking. It's not unheard of for 1.4GHz AHYJA chips to overclock to 1.6GHz with air cooling. They're almost exclusively supplied factory-unlocked so you are free to adjust the bus multiplier as you like. They're sold for a premium as some people percieve that they're gaining value from the fact that it takes some of the guess-work out of overclocking. They're buying a chip that has a higher probability of overclocking well, and may even have been pre-tested at particular speeds.

Generally - I wouldn't bother at this stage. Buy an XP-1600+ instead, it's probably cheaper and will run cooler and at least as fast if not faster.

Thanks for the clarification, I was just wondering whether it was some sort of enhanced version or was just the same one packaged at some particular factory/outlet. I read a post from an Intel rep who was saying that it doesn't matter where the processor is made/packaged, (was about Costa Rica/Malaysia) and said that all those are supposed to give similar performance.

I am looking for a cheaper solution at the moment, don't have spare enough to buy an XP, coz I have to upgrade the mobo as well. Perhaps I'd buy an ECS k7s5a + Duron 1.0 ($50-57) or may be TBird 1.33 ($87). One would say what's the difference between 87 and 110, why not buy an XP, well, I have been thinking about targetting higher and higher, then end up waiting for the high performer to be cheaper

Yes, similar in performance under rated speed. For example, 1.4 AYHJA & another 1.4 Ghz of other core...both had similar performance at 1.4 Ghz. The 1.4 Ghz AYHJA is nothing special at rated speed...just that this particular stepping yield higher clock as FatMan42 said.
