Just an FYI - the Samsung S27A750/950D isn't supported by Nvidia yet.

LOL @ this too:
Nvidia forums don't tolerate topics describing how to "trick" their 3D-Vision-controller to cooperate with Samsung's newer 3D-monitors, because those monitors are not officially "supported". It doesn't matter that you obviously own a Nvidia graphics card, probably not the cheapest one... That's a poor stance in my opinion, but you have to put up with it. So generally you should visit other places like the forums of '3D Vision blog' to get help consistently.

However, regarding ghosting it was reported that by setting "response time" to "normal" ghosting can be reduced significantly when relying on Nvidia-drivers instead of TriDef-Software.

Samsung is going to use their own 3D tech in lieu of the NVIDIA 3D vision. (Called the Samsung 3D GAME Launcher / TriDef3D). So if you were looking to go the NVIDIA-3D route, the ASUS VG278H would be the better choice. With that said, I'd rather pick S27A950D any day.

Sort of, but when a monitor has horrible input lag the response time will be worse right? Maybe I'm wrong about the samsung monitor in question. I didn't even know there were different versions of it available. The inability to vesa mount it is still a major issue. They make a monitor screaming for gamers to use it in eyefinity and give it the most awful asymmetrical stand they could imagine.
you can have a screen with almost no input lag but really poor response rate and vice versa because they are two different things.

input lag is just that. its simply lag from the time you move the mouse to went it responds.

screen response time refers to the actual image on the screen when moving around. the higher the response time the blurrier the image will appear.

I hear you... but I really am starting to prever Nvidia cards over ATI. I like that samsung monitor though. It would be my choice except... there are 2 new other monitors coming out supporting the nvidia 3d 2... Except I don't know their specs. I might wait for those... I have until december 18th or so.

Now this I will agree 100% with ...the mount makes no sense whatsover. Having said that my wife loves the look of it in our office. She "Liked it better than her iMac."

would you pick the 950D because it is better suited for a 3 monitor setup? smaller bezel and smaller size?

this is kind of sad... I like the samsung monitors better but they don't work with nvidia which is the gard I will buy (2 X gtx 580's )

furthermore even amd 3d doesn't support multiple gpus apparently so if I went multi AMD I wouldn't be able to take advantage of full power.

I wish nvidia supported this new samsung monitor. I also wish it was vesa mountable

There is one that is identical to it, that comes with a traditional stand and vesa mount.

S27A750D - Same panel as far as everything I've read tells me, just without the fancy stand.

The S27A750D is not VESA compatible.

I am running 2x gtx 580's I bought it for the 120hz and at the time it was the best 120hz monitor.

I may try the new ASUS when it comes out but the idea of 3d gaming seems goofy. At the current time no matter what monitor you have 3d is too dark for lots of gaming.
