What is the best anti-spyware soft ware to use?

i used to use webroot spysweeper but my subscription ran out. I dont know wether to renew or not. Are there better programs either free or not?

Try microsoft's own anti-spyware....actually works pretty good, but the best solution is to have like 3 or 4 antispyware programs so they overlap in coverage to make sure you get everything out

If you have a valid Windows CD key, you can use Microsoft's Antispyware. It's currently in beta, but it's been extremely stable for me and I have high regards for it.

Your other common programs are Adware and Spybot.

I use a combonation of Spybot Search & Destory and Ad-Aware

There isn't really a "best" anti-spyware software however I can say that WebRoot's Spy Sweeper removes the most harmful pieces of spyware. It removes such things as the Vundro trojan, Aurora and some instances of Look2Me. I say use a bunch in conjunction with each other to get the best results. Also use FireFox if it's possible and do not surf bad websites i.e. porn sites, cracks, cheats, etc. Those are a haven for spyware.
