What is the best DDR AMD board?

As the title says. I am NOT looking for overclockability, but for stability and compatabiliy. I am building a 1 GHz 266 fsb t-bird system for some friends, and was thinking of a DDR based system since 256mb pc2100 crucial ram is only $65 or something nowadays.

Please help me out on this one.

Iwill ka266 if you are looking for ddr memory. I have one and i love it. But i havn't o/c. But i have no issues whatsoever with this board.

The EPoX does have overclocking features. Thus, I'd say it's a shade less stable than a motherboard not designed to overclock.

ka266 has ALi MAGiK chipset!! Not worth it, get the EPoX 8K7A instead!

I went for the Epox 8K7A, Six PCI and Four USB (two on board, two on plug in header) Here is a pretty good review of this board with lots of pics

so the epox is looking good... as long as it isnt UNstable, i dont need it to be a 24/7/365 server or anything, just a home pc that isnt going to be overclocked.

Epox 8K7A is a really stable motherboard as is the Asus A7M266. In fact all of the AMD761 boards have been very stable if you use the right components.

A7M266 = AMD760 chipset = best DDR performance
A7A266 = Muhammad ALi chipset = not quite up to snuff
