I am interested in everyones opinion. I have been using no ads, it seems only to block pop ups once they pop up and you tell it to block it in the future. Also meant to mention, looking for free software.

for internet explorer the google toolbar is awesome. if you're looking to switch browsers i say go for firebird 0.6. it's amazing. faster and no popups, plus has the little search box next to the address bar for google.com.

You can download the beta version of the Toolbar 2.0 from here. The link above brings you to the regular 1.x version download.

I've been using Avant Browser, which, like Opera, has a built in pop up blocker. Advant is still buggy though. Better than IE, but still buggy.

Other than that, Pop Up Stopper works great.

Sorry about dbl post.

Yep. Go Mozilla. No pop-ups. Plus the junk mail feature deletes 100% of the 50+ junk emails I get every day.

Not to hijack this thread, but so many of you compliment MozillaFirebird, but I have found it to be lacking one thing. Effective Java/Javascript running capability. Some web pages I go to it just seems to give me errors in the Console, and Javascript menus do not function properly!

Just my Observations.

I use Mozilla in Windows and Galeon in Linux every day and I never noticed, perhaps it's the site's fault and IE is covering up the problem like it does with HTML?

...and improperly served CSS files? I'm having troubles with that right now (the web server is sending .css files as "application/octet-stream" when it should be sending them as "text/css", and it's making Mozilla barf, while IE blissfully ignores the major problem and displays it anyway). :disgust:
