What is the best price on something you have sold?

Note this isn't the most expensive thing you have sold, but the thing where the other person made a trade and long-term you got more value of the the deal by chance or patience or just good vision on your part.

For me it was probably when I sold the How To Train Your Dragon 3D Blu Ray for $122.50 back in 2010. $25 bucks on Amazon right now:

Follow up- best price on something you bought? For me that is probably the time I got $220 off the Note 4 the first day it was sold.

Hi OP (sorry it is early and I forgot who opened this thread and I am too tired to exit this response and look),

I used to buy and sell real estate. The fastest buck I ever made was buying and selling the same house in 1 day and walked away with $7500 in my pocket.

I bought a Blue Oyster Cult CD back in 1988 or so for $0.99 and sold it later for just over $100. I actually had two copies of it and it seems there was a very limited run of that CD for various reasons. The funny thing is, the mastering was terrible on the CD and you can now buy a remastered version on Amazon for $12.99. The original still goes for something like $60 however.

PS2's on eBay. I was one of 'those guys' that bought every system I could at launch. I made a mint. I remember selling one to some woman in South Dakota, with an extra controller and 6 games, for $2800.00. No kidding. Every one of them I sold I made at least $400 off of, unfortunately I only had 8 of them.

I renovated my kitchen and sold this early 1980s gas stove and equally old refrigerator for $250; both in fair condition but with defects. I halfhearted put it up on craigslist and didnt think it would sell. I figured while I was doing demolition, I would keep it in my living room. If it didnt sell in a week, to the junk yard. Some early 20s kid bought it from me and didnt even haggle.

Hmmm. Bought a paint shaver for my house - used it all summer, and resold it for about $25 less than I paid for it new. So I spent $25 to rent an expensive tool for a summer. That was a deal that I felt good about.

Also bought one of those stupid Rose Gold Starbucks gift cards for $400 and resold it for around $1400. Easy money, but somehow less satisfying than the paint shaver.

Bought a 17" Acer laptop at a B&M on clearance (the model had been out for about 3 months, so they had to make room for the new ones). Pulled it out of the box and reallized that it was far too large for me, so I made $400-$500 for making an eBay listing and taking it to a UPS Store.

I purchased two Lenovo X220's when they were on sale. I kept the lower end model but sold the top of the line i7 one for double the price i purchased it for, but I had to ship it to Australia. Still made an extra $500 off it.

I bought around 100 PS1's back in the day for half price and sold them for a few dollars under retail.

The best deal I've probably ever got was a pinball machine for $800 many years ago. One year I discovered it had been signed by the designer on the bottom and turned out it was half prototype half commercial as it was the first production (to be sold) game of the lot. I've been offered 17k for it, but I haven't decided to sell it yet.
