Are you using TCP/IP to make your connection to the printer? If so you'll either have to assign an IP address to that card or switch to a compatible network protocol to communicate to it like IPX. Treat it as if it were another PC. What ever you have to do to get your PC on the network so others can see your shares you'll have to do the same to that printer.
There's a few different ways to connect to it then once it's on the network. You can use a Server to manage the queue, a router/Print server device, or directly connect to the printer using the IP address. Using the IP address, it should be "\\IP Address\Queue Name" but without the quotes. Your documentation should tell you what the default queue name is. I think on HP Laserjet jet direct cards it used to be just LP for the queue name.
It will use your CAT5 cable.
