There are many games with good graphics, but I would like to know which games are the most enjoyable.

Eh, it was okay. I've played a lot of platformers. Jumping puzzles get old after a while.

Civilization 2 and Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri are *awfully* addictive... SMAC is a lot more polished when it comes to the AI, though. Civilization 2 got a 98% rating (AFAIK still the highest) from PC Gamer, back when they rarely gave out 90+ ratings and had good taste.

Also, another vote for "'Funnest' isn't a word and using it makes you sound like an idiot (or at least a 12-year-old)."

It took quite some time for me to get bored of the 'steal a car/bike & drive around recklessly doing nothing for a coupla hours' routine in the Grand Theft Auto games. Those games delivered value/replayability like no other.

Rome: Total War was an awesome experience although it became more of a hassle than 'fun' as I constantly tried to expand my empire's boundaries. Things got extremely hectic and out of control in the end.

Wow. Look at that. 15 posts and nobody mentioned Deus Ex. I never played that game, but this forum has a major thing for that game.


Doom hands down. Besides wolfenstein 3d, Doom practically set the stage for first person shooters.

No One Lives Forever 2 A Spy In H.A.R.M.S Way is still my fav game of all time. No game to this date has made me laugh as much as that one did.

Good point. NOLF/NOLF2 are some of the funniest games I've ever played... the dialog between the enemy lackies is frequently hilarious. Some of the LucasArts adventure games (the 'Monkey Island' series in particular) are also pretty damn funny.

Deus Ex was okay... if you want a classic, try the original 'first person RPG/shooter', System Shock.

NOLF2 is still the ONLY game I have sat there and watched every single cut scene. The game had everything a game should have, humor, gameplay,humor, humor and good graphics for its time. It was also challenging and just so unique over any other game I have played. Anyone thats never tried it needs to find a copy if you can its HIGHLY worth it.
