don't touch io..it is voltage for other things like cards and memory.

as for cas2 and cas3

memory speed...cas2 faster, but less stable.

Thats what I love about the forums, we can all express our opinions no matter what they are. However I have to disagree with the previous post. On the io voltage, Epox (or it may be Soyo) has for years run the 3.3 at ps voltage of 3.58 without problems. The ps has to provide a higher voltage than is required for the mb to be able to regulate it further. The slight overvoltage causes no harm in systems and in fact can increase the stability of memory. However *I should add that most but not all memory doesn't care about the voltage level. I think the tiny bga memory does have a problem at this voltage.
On the second question it has to do with memory speed (column array strobe-cas) and had absolutely nothing to do with stability. The quality of the memory has everything to do with stability. At crucial they are selling cas2 and cas3 memory at the exact same price. I suggest you buy the cas2 (it can always be run at cas3) if the motherboard has problems running at cas2.
Finally a last comment on quality. Things are changing rapidly with computer parts. In general quality has increased greatly over the past several years. But as in most things, you get what you pay for. I choose to buy quality components that are reasonably priced. That is value. Be sure to staisfy yourself. An unsatisfactory purchase is not worth living with. If you are the type of person that thrives on finding the lowest cost components then by all means please yourself. I personally take more pleasure in buying at least mid-level quality components (no generic memory, no pcchips mb), but that is me. I'm sure there are many of you that could only afford a pcchips mb and are perfectly satisfied with it.
Durn this is way to long, but boils down to satisfy yourself with purchases, knowledge, and life.

his post was opposite of yours basicaly... Raising I/O voltage can improve stability when raising the fsb or the cas latency of memory.

COurtland is right. I disagree with your reply. I respect your opinion and your right to hold it no matter how wrong it is

i actually have the same board and it allows 3.3 or 3.45 which is really like 3.50 and it runs so much stabler with my PC150 ram...but i also upped the FSB making the Video card o/c'ed as well...but none of my cards cry about extra volts
