What is the most disturbing movie you've ever seen and why?

Yeah, pretty much. I don't mind nudity, cussing (as long as it is used intelligently), nudity, sex scenes, raunchy humor, nudity, or sex but I don't have much desire to see gratuitous violence, people being dismembered, people spending the whole movie screaming at each other, or beating people up. A bit of nudity is fine.

"Hey, I'll put every controversial topic in one movie and then watch the people raise hell about it, and I'll get a bunch of free publicity." Fortunately that didn't happen because the movie sucked ass, BIG TIME. And no, the movie wasn't real.

So far I don't think I've seen a movie that I would classify as "disturbing." Well, maybe Speed Racer. It was disturbing that I paid $30 for that crap.

Have any of you guys seen cannibal holocaust?

I've seen a couple of those shot-on-VHS "white adventurers get eaten alive in Africa/the Amazon' genre movies. Not sure if one of those was Cannibal Holocaust but most of them were kinda tame. Except for this one where this dude rips a guys balls-and-dick off with his bare hands and chews on it. Is that the one? The tacky effects didn't really do much but I can imagine something like that with modern production values could be pretty upsetting.

I was pretty young when I watched that too.

hmm.. i saw it about 10 or 15 years ago, don't know anything about it other than I was under the impression that it was real. If I misled anyone I apologize.

Gummo and Kids were both pretty fucked up. Elephant as well.

Gummo is a pretty crazy and strange film. I couldn't even finish watching it once. Still don't get the bunny ears lol. The ending really threw me for a loop.

I was 7 when my parents took us to see Apocalypse Now -That was seriously disturbing for some reason. Guess they could'nt find a baby sitter that night but it fucked me up. Next was JAWS. I didnt was to swim in ocean for awile after that and I LIVED in costa mesa CA which is really close to beach.

The original AmityVille Horror. I saw it when i was 6. That movie is seriously fucked up. Even worse, a few days after seeing the movie, my parents took me to see the actual house in Amityville, NY. Knowing that the movie was 'real' ... is enough to scare the shit out of a kid.

Rumor was that the director was going to be brought up on charges because people thought it was real. In reality, it was just like any other movie (ex. Faces of Death).
