Edit; Oh, you said EXOTIC... okay... sorry.... Foreign Women.
So which is it? Asian Pair? English Beaver? Shepards Pie? Desert Rose? Some other fishy product? Perhaps you've had a sea cucumber?

Speaking of "live" things consumed. I was at a sushi/seafood place, and there was "sweet shrimp" on the menu so we ordered. They brought 4 jumbo shrimp to our table, alive and flippin', then used this plastic kinfe-thing to shuck the shell off the while leaving the head intact... feet and feelers flailing.
We were instructed to dip it in some red beam paste, and enjoy "while fresh". It tasted alright, but I didn't care for the texture.

Reading through this thread makes me posit. What ever possessed the first person to look at cow/pig/deer/etc. nuts and go, "Hmmm...I bet those will taste scrumptious with a nice dipping sauce!"
