IBM XT, works excellent, though i'm a bit sad as I'm trying to think of how to put it to use, preferrably online. I know about arcane but I don't know how I'd get the data on there to install it, to fix this issue I plan to get a 5.25" drive.

1994 Gateway (90MHz Pentium1, massive 1GB hard drive, blazing-fast 2X CD-ROM).

My dad installed Windows95 on it seven years ago or so, before I was really into computers. I wish he'd left Windows3.11 on it. :'(

I just gave away my old NEC 8086 with amber monochrome monitor. Don't remember the processor speed, but it was lightning fast... IIRC, it was maxed on ram, (8 kb 16 pin (?) simms (?) ) A friend upgraded it in about 1991 or 92 to use a 20 mb HDD, had 2 X 5-1/4" floppy drives, NO 3-1/2". Ran Dos 3.1 OS I STILL have an old Panasonic Panaprinter dto matix printer in the junk closet somewhere. Haven't been able to find a printer ribbon for it since about 98...yet I STILL have the dammed thing.

Edot...forgot...I still have a fully functional Sony Vaio original Pentium 200 (with MMX! ) Came with a 4.3 Gb HDD and a 2 mb all-in-wonder video card, which I "upgraded" with a Monster VoodooII 8Mb add-on card. WOO-HOO! QuakeII was REALLY rockin with that card!

nothing too impressive... a laptop that I bought in my sophomore year of college (2000). 533MHz PC and a whopping 6GB hard drive I was a fool to buy that... I used it for the first semester I had it and then it just fell to the wayside.

I had a 100MHz box w/ 8MB ram and a 14.4 modem, but I disassembles the entire thing and broke all the parts to see how they worked last year.

128 bytes of RAM
8k of PROM

woot. powar house

although i suppose the control logic in my microwave is older.
circa 1980 panasonic

No, micro controllers don't count. I've got a handful of 8051's that I'm actively using and I don't think they count either. I have a 486/66 the *probably* still functions, if you plug it in, but I'll only count the Celeron 466 to be honest.

Oldest in use: PowerMac G3/450 Mhz/512 MB RAM/32 MB VRAM, 1999

But my father still stores some old functional Apple hardware:
two Apple // GS (2.8 Mhz, 256 KB RAM), 1986
one Mac Classic (8 Mhz, 1 MB RAM), 1990

I want to tinker with them just when I write about them

I recall having some sort of old embedded junk here that runs a 8088 or 8086.. does that count?

forget what it was though. some hp test thing. i think i broke it though.

what are you doing with your 8051's?

Mostly using them for a lab class -- currently building a PWM circuit w/ feedback to drive a DC motor at a constant speed regardless or torque on the shaft.

I still have an old TI 99/4A, complete with expansion box loaded with 5.25" floppy, cassette tape interface, speech synthesizer and I don't remember what else. Talk about fast - nothing can hang with that 3.3MHz CPU!
