Okay everyone, lets see if you can top this.

Don't freak out when you first start reading, its not what you think.

My sister once had a FryDaddy. Its a small deep fryer. Don't ask me why she had it, she just did. Well, they went away one weekend and left it out on the counter, full of oil (but turned off). The cat fell into it, climbed out, and then rubbed oil over everything it could find in the house. It licked so much oil off of itself, it got sick and then threw up everywhere.

My sister and brother-in-law came home, and finally got the house and the cat cleaned up, and the next weekend the cat did the whole thing again. After this time my sister tossed the FryDaddy.

I read this story somewhere...Reader's Digest? So, this cat loves the wife, but wants to impress the husband. The husband doesn't have time of day for the cat. The cat would kill mice and bring it to the door meowing loudly for attention and praise for his accomplishment. However, the husband never even paused in what he was doing. Finally, the cat left his offerings next to the only place where he was sure the husband would find it--the remote control.

The worse thing my cat ever did to me was the usual puking, peeing and crapping bit.

Ah geez, I was about to adopt a cat this weekend and after reading this thread I'm seriously having some major doubts!

I'm not sure I could put up with the cat puking/pooing in my bed or in my shoes. I just can't imagine having to cleaning that up and then having to sleep in it Do most cats do this often? I really wanted a cat because I thought they had less maintenance than a dog but this thread is really really scaring me! Someone please straighten out the facts and let me know the real story with cats. Should I get one?

My cat jumped into the back of a Jeep and fell asleep. Then the jeep's owner left for work the next day, with my cat in the back. About 20 miles away my cat woke up and the driver saw it jump out while the car was driving at 60 Km/h. Poor cat. Never saw it again.

Ok ok. My mom had 11 cats.... I keep remebering these stories....

We decided to move, and there was this cat that never liked anybody. You couldn't even get near it. Well it was the last day, and we had to move. We so far had got it locked in the garage. Now, we had to get it into a box or crate or something so that we could get it to the new place. That was hard. After about 30 mins of chasing it around the garage, we had got it running along the garage door rails that were attached to the roof. With my ingenuity I got it cornered and it decided to give up. (Literally) It just jumped into the box which I was holding up to it. I assume it was in shock, because I was able to pat it withoutit even giving a reaction. (Maybe it was because it was a a dark box and my hand was going through the holw at the top....) Well when we finally got to the new place, we let it out into the new garage. It found a hiding place really fast, and went there whenever we entered the room. We decided to open the garage door and by-golly, I don't think I've ever seen a cat run that fast before. That cat was outta there. We never saw it again either.

When I was 9 this was the scariest thing I had ever seen. I hid for the rest of the day, and had nightmares at night....

Hey, I was only 9....

I was going outside to play with my friends and I saw my mome doing something where the cats always hide out. (Incuding where the cat that was always scared of us always hid) They hid under a section of the house that was out a little more than normal, it was kind of like a bunker. The bottom of the house there was at ground level, but there was no foundation. The cats dug it out, and even had an underground connection going to the other bunker below the front steps. (It was like cat-wars or something....) Anyways, my mom was reaching into the "bunker" and was trying to pull something out. She finally was able to get it and pull it out. It was like a cat-statue. This cat had died while it was in the scared cat position; probably of a heart attack. I's hair was still sticking up and its mouth was in the hissing position and everything. It's like it was frozen it the position it was in when alive. Something scared the life outta it, literally. It was freaky......

FreakyOCR, wow those stories bring back memories or half-wild cats.

One time when I was about 9, we got a kitten from some friends. Those cats were pretty much wild and our dads just grabbed the first kitten they could. I was commissioned to hold it tight all the way home, but of course we had to stop at the grocery store on the way. The cat got loose and managed to get up inside the front console of the car, up inside the instrument panel. We could not get the thing out. It was in that car for over a week. We put food out trying to coax it, and it would come out at night, eat the food, then get back up inside the dashboard.

The cat I had when I was a kid was wonderful and never really got in any trouble at all. Of course she was fat and lazy, so she probably couldn't drag her butt into trouble if she wanted to. The 1 yr. old cat I have now is part Siamese (what is it with this breed?), and she's a nightmare. She is loud, stinky and obnoxious. Lately, she's been enjoying climbing the Christmas tree. I've done everything I can think of to keep her off, sprayed the whole thing with Begone (repellant), then doused it with Bitter Apple (nope, she LIKES the taste), sprayed her with water, with water and vinegar (she likes that taste too, she actually EATS saurkraut), I put packages and stuff around it to keep her away, she just leaps over them....tried shoving her in her carrier for a time out every time I catch her, but she's starting to like her carrier (sleeps in it occasionally); my next step is the Scat Mat (which gives the animal a little jolt of static electricity each time they cross it). My vet swears she's just a normal, active cat, but I think she's really Satan.

I used to have a car(it died last year) who used to bring live animals that it caught into the house to show us. If it caught a bird it would usually kill it, eat part of it, and leave the rest on the back porch for us. If it caught a mouse, it would usually bring it inside the house, and let it go. The mice were usually two injured to go to fast, so they were easier to catch. She also used to sleep on the gas stove, right over the pilot light to keep warm or something. Needless to say she often got her wiskers burnt off by doing that. hehe

our white cat jumped into the space behind the oven once and couldn't get out. we had to get it by its ears - it was the only thing we could reach. afterwards, the cat would scratch the oven every chance it got.

heh, my cat is tame in comparison... shes evil kitty to other cats though. indoor cat, scared to death of the outside, but ran outside and jumped on my dog once when another cat was being friendly with the dog. mostly all she does now is refuse to vacate the chair i want to sit in. and shes really annoying when she thinks its time for me to wake up.

I was laying in the bathtub, taking a nice hot bath, when my tomcat, Eddie, decided to come visit me. He got up on the edge of the tub and went to head butt me like he always did. The second he moved he fell in the tub with me. Do you have any idea how scary it is to be stuck in a bathtub with a wet freaked out cat? I swore I was going to get scratched in a very bad spot. :Q And the worst part was, I screamed for my husband to help me, and when he came in, he just stood there laughing at me! Oh, how I miss that cat, somebody stole him on me six months later.

My cat has never done anything wrong, she just lays around and hisses and growls whenever a stranger walks into the house.

Our cat used to love to go outside and catch mice. One day my wife was in a hurry to go to the store and didn't notice that the cat ran in the house when she left. The cat had come in and had brought her snack in with her. She preceded to eat about half of a mouse on the carpet. Blood and guts everywhere.

That was worse then the time she brought the live mouse in the house and started to play with it. Wife screamed and I had to catch the mouse.

Shed a few tears when that cat had to be put to sleep, she was a part of the family.
