I love venison. My dad and other relatives hunted so I enjoyed plenty of venison.

I never could get used to it. My dad used to hunt, and we always had deer meat available. I hated the taste regardless of how it was cooked.

Now rabbit and squirrel is a whole different ballgame.

Probably some fish that had gone bad, with an overwhelming ammonia smell that I couldn't get out of my head for days. This was fish cooked 30 minutes after buying it at the grocer, but that's what you sometimes get in Colorado.

During a power outage that lasted 3 days like 6 summers ago my wife and I went to Subway and she got a grilled chicken sub with mayo, tomatoes, and other stuff on it. Fast forward the next day, it was my 2nd to last day with a company and we went to happy hour after work and I got pretty drunk. After taking the train home I was hungry and when I get home, I see 1/2 of her sub sitting in the wrapper on the table. So it had been sitting out for more than 24 hours at this point, chicken and mayo, and I went to town on it.

It went down okay, but damn, the next day I was in a world of pain.

Toss-up between shark and venison.
I've only had shark once and it was one I caught. It wasn't that bad. It was very "pork" like which is odd for fish, since fish it typically very flaky. I took a recipe from the captain of the boat and cooked it with BBQ sauce on the grill and it was pretty good.

My wife’s family is Chinese. I have been to China frequently and am accustomed to eating strange things. I have reached a point where chicken feet do not bother me, squid on a stick is one of my favorite snacks, and I do not notice when the fish or the duck still looks back at me on the plate.

However, no matter how long I stay in China I will never get used to stinky Tofu. I agree with you Dr. Detroit. I hate being ten yards of the street vendors that cook it. Even outdoors, it makes the area smell like a bad fart. It tastes like a bad fart.

I would eat durian fruit, pig’s blood soup, or spicy snails from a street vendor before I will hang out around a stinky tofu vender.

It is horrible.

Pizza Hut pizza. If you can call that food. God that place has gone downhill. Surprisingly their buffet is still ok. Just don't order it for pickup/delivery.

It tasted as foul as an unclean wench from 1890!
There is goat cheese and then there is strong goat cheese. You must know what you are getting into before eating it. They are nothing alike. It would be like lumping pizza and the bottom of a vomit bucket into one category and claiming that you hate it all.

My least favorite foods have all been from the sea. I dislike most but not all seafood to begin with, so this is just me picking the worst of the worst.

I'd have to say the #1 worst was raw squid hood. I was on a business trip to Japan for a week, eating horrible seafood after horrible seafood. Finally one platter of swimming nasty things came with what I thought was a carved radish (maybe I had a bit too much sake to wash down the rotted fish slime from the previous course). I gladly popped it into my mouth before realizing what it was. No, it was not a beautiful carved radish, it was raw squid hood rolled up to look like a carved radish. It was very slimy, had the taste and smell of a fish gut dumpster outside a fish cleaning station in the blistering heat of summer. But, what was worse was that it was like a leather belt. My teeth couldn't chew through it. But, as this was an important business trip, I couldn't just spit it out. I sat there on the floor in a cramped position for at about 10 minutes in pure misery until I could barely shred it enough, bit by bit, to swallow it all.

Next worst was whale. No idea which kind, they just said it was a small whale. It looked and tasted like slicing and eating a firm human crap.

I actually like IPA a lot myself ... interestingly hops are a relative of weed but that's not the reason I swear!

Interesting fact- the hops flavor is a lot like cilantro in that some people are genetically inclined to like it or hate it. I like a hoppy beer (for hops lovers, seek out Hopslam, especially if you can get it on tap. You're welcome).

I've tried roasted camel and my wife's family makes tripe. They are both the most incredibly vile things I've ever put in my mouth (insert mom/dick jokes here).

I haven't heard of that with hops. But I know that I have the mutation that makes cilantro taste like extremely strong lemon soap. So overpowering that you almost can't taste anything else in the dish, even if the dish is powerful spicy food and even if you had just a minuscule speck of cilantro in the dish.

I also can't stand IPA and hops. I bet that I have that mutation too.

That Indian desert. What is called, "Galub Jamum"?

I'm sure there are great ways to prepare it but I only had it once and never again. The sauce was cold and the insides of the balls were disgustingly slimy.

It's a fucking boiled soybean. Like a green bean. Wtf?
And one that tastes almost exactly like the sauce that it is served in. That is like saying he hates flavorful sauces.

You can overcome cilantro mutation. I have it and I didn't really like cilantro for the longest time. But I kept eating it and it still tastes strong and little like soap but I enjoy it now. Same thing with shellfish allergies. I used to be really allergic to shrimp but I kept eating it because it's delicious and overcame the allergy. I occasionally break out in hives if I touch or eat raw/cooked shrimp but it's not frequent and most of the time the reaction is pretty mild.

There's not much in terms of food I won't eat but stinky tofu scares me. I never had it, and I don't plan seeking it out. But if offered, I would probably try it just for the sake of it.

I agree. While I still taste the lemon soap, after being exposed to lots of cilantro-topped foods (Indian, Mexican, Thai, and Vietnamese), I can at least tolerate it now. I don't know if I'll ever get to to the point of saying that I enjoy it though.
