I had the most incredibly incapacitating headache ever. I had to be taken to the doctor for it. The doctor thought it was a migraine; "this isn't a migraine, I've had migraines before. This is 100 times worse." I had to be rushed in for an emergency CAT scan. I barely remember being taken to the hospital.

Quite honestly, if I was given a choice: live with the headache the rest of my life, or cut off my own arm with a rusty dull hacksaw and no anesthetic, without hesitation I've have started cutting my arm off. I had a root canal where one of the roots wasn't numbed... that was incredibly painful. This headache was 1000 times worse than that.

I was in a bike accident where a particular part of my anatomy bent the bike seat. This was 1000 times worse.
I was in a bike accident where I went over a bridge (that wasn't there - construction), and my legs went through the re-bar. The tires were big enough that they didn't go through the rebar. I'm amazed I have children. I crawled to the side of the road and vomited. The headache was 1000 times worse.

Whenever I fly on an airplane when it is decending to land the last 30 minutes causes me excruciating pain. Like the worst headache possible.

About 7 years ago I was hit by a car, which tossed me to the air, breaking my right humerus (sp?) upon falling. Though that was painful, getting the bone realigned in the ER was 10 times more painful.

However, the worst was yet to come: I ended up with incompetent doctors who used a soft cast instead of a hard one (which is pretty much mandatory for major fractures like mine). It didn't take much for the my broken bone to get displaced again, and that hurt to an extent I can't describe with words. I nearly passed out I immediatly realized something was terribly wrong. This poor treatment almost cost me the arm.

during surgery, the local anesthesia began to wear off. received a second shot, and a couple hours later, that began to wear off too.

Gallbladder disease (now removed). OUCH!!!

Two shots of demorol (spell?) didn't take the pain away. Took a 3rd shot of something else to finally end the pain. Later removed and happily so!

I was sick a while back and had sneezed so many times my back muscles where all sore.

So the next time I felt a sneeze coming I kind of balled up and tensed up my back so that my muscles wouldn?t ach after I sneezed.

BIG MISTAKE, with my back already tensed up it had nowhere to bend when I sneezed. I like hyper-extended my spine or something. Spent the next 20 minutes on the ground crying cause it hurt so bad, 30 minutes later a neighbor came buy to see my parents who where outside, I got him to go run and get help. Next couple days where not fun. No sitting up or standing. It took me a long long time just to get from the ground on to a toilet for the next couple days. If I was in the seated position I had to make sure no weight was resting on my spine so I had to keep my weight on my arms all the time. So my body was more hanging from my shoulders than resting on my spine.

I always heard stories of people breaking their ribs and stuff when sneezing hard but I never though I could do that to my back.

Anyway all healed up now.

@nd degree burns over half of my right arm and the right side of my face and neck.

My arm got it the worst, but you can't see scaring unless I point it out and luckily there was NO scaring on my face.

the pain part came in in where the burned skin had to be removed. They would soak my arm in a hot tub like bath and then take layers of dead skin off. they had to peel it and it was still attatched of course.

Pretty rough sh1t. But I was 14 and they let me stay in the kids ward so I got to see the candy stripers. I took home phone numbers and addresses of all five of them. So in the end, now that I look back on it, the pain was worth the outcome!

My dad had that done and said the same thing. He had passed kidney stones, surgery, etc.

He was a long-time smoker, and he quit after that. He told me "you know, all the warnings, doctors, asthma, sickness, etc, none of that got my attention enough to make me quit smoking, but the pain did."

He said when he lung popped open and hit against the rib cage it was the worst thing he ever felt.

me too. I play hockey goalie and for the first few months, I didnt have proper equipment. I played with a regular shoulder pad instead of a chest protector. Regularly came home with bruises on the arm and lower torso.

Appendicitis. I went to the ER, and they told me I had to flu. They sent me home to suffer it out. I was in agony for about 24 hours, when I went to the ER again and got a different doctor who recognized it for what it was.

My story in bullets:
[*]~7 year old boy.
[*]With 9 year old sister and her 9 year old friend.
[*]I was small, together they were about 3-4 times the mass of me.
[*]On a teeter totter with my sister.
[*]She decided it was fun to slam on the ground and watch me pop off the seat on the other side.
[*]She slammed the ground harder and harder, I went higher and higher but kept grasp and landed back on the seat.
[*]Her friend decided to help her by pushing down with all her weight too.
[*]They hit the ground HARD.
[*]I flew up.
[*]I lost my grip and flew high into the air.
[*]The teeter totter was one of those with multiple boards connected by a ~2" metal bar in the middle.
[*]I landed.
[*]I landed on the bar.
[*]I landed on my crotch straddling that bar.
[*]I was in serious pain for hours.
