Pretty bothersome.I haven't been seeing the ShieldSquare thing, but the forum does keep intermittently acting like I'm not logged in, but when I click to log in, it says there was an error, and after refreshing a few times, it's back to normal.

I'm keeping an eye on it to see if I can discern any pattern, but nothing yet.This has happened to me several times now. This morning I entered a thread and whammo it said I was not logged in, and the screen had gone dark (it showed thatI was using the AnandTech dark style.) Went back to the previous screen and it was light again. No matter where I started, if I ended at that particular thread I got the not logged in AnandTech Dark. So weird.

The first thing I would like to point is that, you just posted back to back on this same thread multiple times. That may have caused it to think that you are trying to spam the thread.And it appears the forum updates have not fixed this new issue.

Same browser, same machine, always.Maybe the the site developers turned on "self-absorbent AI mode" where the AI thinks that it is a human, and anything that is not AI is robot.
It could also be that you switched browsers on the same device very quickly, or you logged of and logged in from a different device and IP address very quickly, maybe causing TBE security system to think that the account is maybe hacked or stolen.
I don`t think you understand...….this should not be happening at all!! It is a real PITA and will drive members of these forums away!!Thanks for letting us know. This can happen from time to time if you're on a VPN, on a network of known spammers, using outdated software, or spoofing extensions on your browser.
I'll let the devs know and update here once I receive a response.
I would bey it has something to do with $$$$$$$$It seems to me that this shouldn't be necessary for a logged-in user who has been around for a year and has over, say, 1,000 posts. I can't recall any instances of a user's account getting hijacked. Maybe my memory is bad?
Just happened to me too.This shield square happened to me 2 times early this morning and it is a pita. Because after you think you identified the traffic lights it puts another set of lights up and will keep doing it..over and over
