(Last year - a few months of 32-hr workweeks, and a few rounds of layoffs. Some days it was so slow that there weren't even enough orders in the queue to keep everyone in the shop busy. It's one thing when someone's standing around because he doesn't feel like working - it's another when he's standing around because there's literally no work left to do.)

So, my current job is 5-15% bonus, which is pretty sweet. I don't ever expect to see anything near 15%, but I've never worked in a job with a bonus before, so any extra is cool.

Also, I just got a $3500 tax free bonus from Uncle Sam. Apparently they felt bad for sending me overseas after my enlistment was up. Took em 6 years, but hey, unexpected cash is awesome

Bonus in February and August, with a 7.5% target for each. I am expecting more than that based off my performance and the company's.

Our company has profit sharing which serves as the 'bonus' for salaried employees. the last two years have been really good so i've gotten 8k post tax. Usually it is closer to half of that.
