What is your "cost is not object" sedan of choice?

I think I'd go with the Maseratti Quattroporte, but I am wondering why it depreciates so fast....

either a Bentley, Rolls, or Maybach. Whatever is the most outrageously expensive.

Then I have to move to a state that doesn't have a yearly car tax.

but, what car would I buy if I were reasonably loaded?

CTS-V, most likely, or some Mercedes. Depends if I wanted sporty or cushy.

E63 AMG - not really sure I would consider anything else.

Sure it's not a track car and the Panamera will run all over it, but that thing is really, really...ugly.

Cost no object?

1948 Buick Super Sedanette with a re-engineered frame, upgraded suspension, and an upgraded and re-engineered straight 8 for good measure.

If cost is no object, why not go for something that can turn heads anywhere?

Porsche Panamera Turbo.

Sure, the styling is, um, charitably speaking, "interesting", but from the driver's seat the car is gorgeous and the reviewers are universally praising the driving dynamics. I can put up with the hatchback quirkiness for the driving experience a Panamera would deliver.

Until the new M5 comes out, it would have to be the CTS-V. However, I think that I will obtain one as my daily driver in a few years.

FWIW I've seen some used M5's still under warranty in the low 40's.

Still a lot of change, but ohh so nice.

We were at a Porsche/Audi dealership this last weekend and they had one of these. I obviously didn't drive it, but I did take a look. The interior is quite plush and nice. I'm sure it drives like a dream. The car looks great from the front/front 3/4...the back is just hideous. I'm sure it is a fantastic car though. That being said, the sticker on it was $122,000. It may have had Ceramic brakes or something...but holy shit! I don't think I could spend that kind of money over the CTS-V when the CTS-V is such a great package on its own with nearly identical performance. I'm not huge on the CTS-V styling either...a bit too much chrome/overwrought...but still.

In my current situation in life along with cost no object and lifetime maintenance, I would choose a BMW 760LI.

Twin turbo charged V12 along with all the creature comforts of a 7 series along with the extended limo-like back seats.

I'd make that my family cruiser and drive all over with my wife and 2 kids.

Beautiful!

The CL MB's are just too lozenge-like to me, looks like a Nyquil gelcap or something.

But I'm pretty unapologetic about my love for the new E class in all of it's various forms, angular and angry looking.
