So here goes

486DX33 --> 486 DX4-100 --> Pentium Overdrive --> Pentium 166 --> Pentium 200 --> PII 333 ---> PIII 750 --> PIII 1Ghz ---> P4 2.66 --> P4 3.0 HT --> X2 4800+ --> Q6600 --> Q6700 (current)

with each platform change came the associated Motherboard and RAM change

Thats going back from the early 1990s to present day

Celeron 500mhz > Thunderbird 1GHZ > Sempron 2800+ > Athlon 64 3200+ (I didn't actually use this one, I just upgraded the sempron when I gave the computer to my girlfriend) > C2D E6600

Pentium w/ MMX 233MHz > Celeron 500MHz > Athlon XP 2600+ > Core2Duo E8400

lol, funny upgrade history, massive jumps. That's what I get for only upgrading once every 5 years.

There isn't room here for my history

Seriously, I have owned virtually every chip made by AMD and Intel since about 1998, and a lot of them from 1985 to 1998. I did stay away from the P4 series, only owning one 2.4

8088,8086,80286 (several speed bins), 80386 SX, 80386DX, 80486DX and SX (different speeds), K5 (several speeds) K6 (several speeds) Pentium 90, 100, 133, 166, 200, 233, etc...

700, 1000, K7 many speeds, K8 many speeds 754 and 939 and 940 (dual opteron)

C2D, C2Q, Xeon,... Too many to even remember....

8088, 286, 386, 486, pentium, k5, k6, pentium III, k7, k8, core2. I still have samples of each. Only missing P2 and P4 out of the lineup, and early AMD 386/486 clone chips from having had the whole set.

Edit: DOH! Forgot the 6502 in my Apple ][!

8088 -> Pentium 60 -> K6 233 -> Pentium 60 (again) -> Athlon Thunderbird 750MHz -> Athlon XP (Can't remember clock speed) -> Athlon 64 3500+ -> Athlon X2 4200+

I built a bunch of computers around the P60 and K6-233 era with spare parts, and I'm not really sure what they were now. That was when I was going to school, so my lack of income made me just salvage other peoples computers for working parts to run what I needed.

edit: I forgot to include the processors in the prebuilt computers. I'm pretty sure I had a PIII and a few Celerons. I am typing this up on a P4 right now (what a piece of crap, even opening word processing and surfing the web at the same time seem to be too much for it.)

Motorola 6809 (Tandy CoCo), Zilog Z80, 8086, 80286 (daughter card), 80386, 80486SX, 80486DX, Celeron 300, Celeron 450, Pentium II 500, Pentium III, K5, K6, TBird 1GHz, Pentium 4 2.4GHz, Athlon 3200+, Pentium 4 3.2GHz, E6300, Q6600.

Lots more that I have forgot like a few Athlon XP's, etc. Hell, I had 18 PC's (not all in cases) running in my house/garage at one time and 3 of those had multiple processors in them. You can't expect an old fart like me to remember that many CPU's, can you?

You made me realize I don't remember for sure all the CPUs I've had, even when there's not so many of them. Since the first PC that was bought for me to use back in '96... Pentium 166Mhz, Pentium II 400Mhz, Celeron 700Mhz, Celeron 1200Mhz, Pentium D 805, Core 2 Duo E4500. Before those I was using my brothers' 486 and Pentium 60Mhz. It took two years back then from Pentium 60Mhz in '94 to Pentium 166Mhz in '96 to make a 100Mhz jump, crazy.

(as a youth living at home still 66MHz 486(?), 100MHz 486)
450MHz PIII, XP 2500+ (coulda OC to 3200 speed, but I was none the wiser)
Discovered OC'ing XP-M 2800+, X2 4400+, Q6600 (Q66 is currently away so I have a E2160)
Laptops P3 1GHz, P Dual-Core 1.46GHz(?) (that laptop is currently away as well).

.066 -> .1 -> .45 -> 1.8 -> 2.2 -> 2.4[oc3.0] -> 1.8[oc2.8ish]

Celeron 466(was too n00b to know anything else at the time) -> AMD Athon 950(tbird) -> AMD Athlon 1800+(palomino?) -> AMD Athlon 2500+(barton) -> AMD Athlon 3000+ (400FSB flavor, barton) -> Athlon 3700+ (clawhammer) -> Intel 520 -> Intel D925 -> Intel E6600...which is where I am now This list of CPU's is combined with many mobo's...all of which I could probably NOT name lol
