I pay 29 euro and a few cents and my up link rate is 30385 kbps and my down link rate is 74175kbps. It is called vdsl. It was updated about two months ago, i did not even notice it at first...
I did get a new modem last december 2016.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/VDSL

edit:
According to wiki, i have technically vdsl2.

edit:
The numbers above are what the modem status screen shows:
According to speednet this is my result :
Download
50.18 Mbps
Upload
27.32 Mbps

another edit:
I should note, i have only email and internet, but no television of phone signals.
i never had any bandwidth caps on it and i surely use 100GB a month.

I get 48.26/9.74 Mbps through Cincinnati Bell for $50/mo. Not great, but my only other option is Time Warner with their absurd caps.

Just moved back to civilization. $50/mo for 200mbps down. No specified UL. Tests give ~ 240mbps/12mbps.

While it's nice to have a landline again after several years, I'm pretty disappointed I couldn't get gigabit here. Especially when my phone can manage 140mbps/35mbps back at my former residence.

300MB/s (or 350, not even sure now) down and 30MB up, fiber here. Complete package with digital TV channels and some unlimited phone plan, €60/m here in a small town in Spain. Simply wanted the fastest available. A year or so ago they upgraded us from 200MB to this speed for the same price.

I am paying $40 USD a month for 50 Mb down and 5 Mb up from a local cable company. Just broadband and nothing else (TV/phone/security/etc.).

I am using a wireless router to connect and the speed test is 39 down and 5 up. Is it reasonable to lose 11 Mb (50 minus 39) from the wireless connection?

I think the highest speed from the same cable company would be about $100/month for 1GB down and 250 Mb up with no limit. I will have to check to be sure about the specs and price.

ATT is saying they would get a Gigabit or higher line around here but not sure when.

IIRC, we pay $69/mo for Wave Broadband. Their service sucks...most downtime I've ever had from an internet provider, but they're my only broadband option...except 1-3 MB DSL...
We were paying $64 for 55mb service, but they recently pumped it up to 100 down, 5 up for a $5/mo increase.

$69 for 200/20 cable internet only with a 450GB cap.
Could upgrade to 400/40 for $10 more or 1000/50 for $35 more, both with unlimited data.

50 down and 5 up. 50 a month and if we go over 600gb a month we are slapped with an overage charge. It's ok though. The only alternative is either Comcast or the crap known as Frontier Communications.

$70 / month 100/10 from comcast. I don't lease their modem.

As dsl sucks, this is my only viable option

927.43Mbps Down/906.04Mbps Up on a test I just ran. Advertised as "GigaPower". $80 a month for AT&T fiber, unlimited data.

Edit, That was with Ookla, just tried DSL Reports;

Cable
150mbps down / 6mbps up
Free (I work for ISP)

With 5GHz WiFi or wired connection, I consistently get 140m download and 6m upload in speed tests, regardless of the time of day.

100/5 with Comcast for $70 per month. I wish I had an option for fibre out here.

FIOS 750 which in reality results in ~940 up and down.

$175/mo and worth it just for the entertainment value of watching 100+ MB/s downloads.

Downside is it also spawned $1000 in AP and MoCA upgrades for WiFi that will (at least sort of) keep up.

~$45/month for Comcast 75/10 but actual speed tests are always 90+/12+ so not too too bad.

15/1, currently paying the $40 per month introductory rate.

I keep getting offers for 50/5 for $5 more a month but I rarely download large files so it's not worth it to me.

After the intro rate is up I'll probably be switching to uverse 18mbps down (forget what up is) if they don't keep me at the $40 rate.

I would pay $5 for 5x upload. Over 3x download speed would just be a bonus.

Don't hold your breath...

Who the hell has got you by the short and curly's with that price/speed combo?

Microwave dish on the roof pointing at a cell tower type internet. I could upgrade to 50/15 for $150 a month or go back to the only option for a wired connection which is 6/1 AT&T DSL for $60 a month. My subdivision was built without cable infrastructure and I am one street too far away for 18Mpbs Uverse. Any other option involves craptastic satellite internet which is just unacceptable. Even my Verizon 4G connection on my phone tops out at 20Mbps here.

Downside of living outside the city in a town of 2,000 people there are not enough customers to justify infrastructure installation.
