What is your favorite Android keyboard and why?

After reading the recent Android app recommendation threads, it seem that there are many differing opinions of which onscreen keyboard is the best. That means that none are obviously the best, and that it comes down to personal preference. So which keyboard do YOU prefer?

My favorite phone keyboard is Swiftkey. I love how it has fairly accurate predictions, but it gets out of your way if you want it too (unlike for example the iPhone keyboard). I understand many love Swype, but I can't get used to it- I am too used to typing things. Maybe if I forced myself to use it I would like it better.

My favorite tablet keyboard is the one from the Notion Ink Adam. It forces me to dig into sub-menus less than any other keyboard, plus it has useful arrow keys. Only thing it lacks is predictions, which is why I usually switch to the Swiftkey tablet beta keyboard if I plan to pound out a few paragraphs.

What about you?

I like Samsung keyboard for its easy switching between different language keys. I also like the feel and sound of Samsung keyboard when I type. I like the size and the spacing between the keys.

Gingerbread keyboard has better predictive text and that's my second favorite. Then Swiftkey and that probably has the best prediction.

Swype is neat but I'm too lazy to learn how to swipe. I rather voice input.

I use a modified GB style keyboard from Steven Lin, its on Market. Highly configurable.

Never liked Swype and I disable all predictive text on any keyboard I use, it wastes too much screen real estate.

Swype. Once you learn how, it's awesome.

seriously....after a couple of hours youre accustomed to it. Everyone i have introduced to it loves it immediately. I can thumb-swype pretty much anything now. I flashed my phone to 2.2 and forgot to save the apk i had so i had to find it again...worst 2 days with the phone, ever.

Swift Key is alright, but I prefer a good hardware keyboard.

The Droid sucks. The LG ally is awesome (full number row, easy to press), but I dont know if that one thing makes me want to buy it.

Perfect comparison right here.

Those big round buttons are SO much easier to use. Trust me, I had the Voyager for a year and aside from the locking and freezing it was great as a texter and emailer.

Swype because of it's quickness. Although I haven't tried anything else beyond the default keyboard.

Sidekick 4G: you know you want to.

I find hunting for the predictions after a few letters to be more burdensome then just swyping the word as a whole.

I'm currently liking the gingerbread keyboard. I have swiftkey and it's good but I'm using stock gingerbread and it's so much better than all previous stock Android keyboards. I've used swype also and I really liked it but seeing how much better the stock gingerbread KB gets the more it learns me then will go onto something else.

SwiftKey for me. The word prediction is absolutely fantastic. Swype is okay but I prefer SwiftKey.

HTC_IME is what I use now. Although I'm not completely happy with it. Never really found an onscreen keyboard for Android I like.

Been using Smart Keyboard with the HTC KB theme for a while. Tried Swype, Better Keyboard, Gingerbread, Samsung and always came back to Smart KB.
