Another interesting keyboard is Minumm keyboard, because it's very small, only a few lines tall compared to most keyboards that take a third or even half of the screen. The only problem I have with it is that it is annoying to input words that aren't in its dictionary. If only they had Swiftkey's prediction.
I hadn't heard of that one before, but I'm trying it now and it's actually pretty slick. It's tough because I'm so used to one handed swiping that I can't switch to tap typing easily, but it's working pretty well. I don't see why they couldn't add that type of input in the future though, so maybe by then I'd be willing to pay for it.
Yeah if they can get swipe typing working it would be the coolest keyboard bar none.
Did anybody else notice this was a MASSIVE necro?
Noticed, but in this case didn't care because it's still an interesting subject, and it's actually cool to look back and see if/how people's preferences have changed.Did anybody else notice this was a MASSIVE necro?
BTW it seems like Swiftkey is now free
Kii Keyboard!
Swype has both of these too, btw. And it offers more/better alternative words when you're tracing.Swiftkey has been great for me because of two things: excellent word prediction (that's stored in the cloud so it doesn't have to relearn everything if you switch phones), and multiple languages at the same time. Fantastic for people who are bilingual and often switch language in the middle of a sentence.
