Swiftkey's beta build. It's in the market.

Oh cool thanks. downloading it right now. I have normal Swiftkey so I'll see how much better it is.

Edit:

WOW damn it's even better than normal Swiftkey and that was real good. Plus it has a dark theme so it matches Gingerbread. Damn this is an awesome keyboard.

I've tried three keyboards: Stock gingerbread, Swype, and the regular HTC keyboard.

Of the three, the HTC keyboard wins:
- Long press on every key means no need to switch mode for common symbols.
- Word prediction and ease of addition to custom dictionary (though all three do this).
- Horizontal spacing of keys. The gingerbread keyboard feels like it's shifted too far to the right.
- Arrow keys allow for easy navigation within the text entry box.

I really like Swype but its inaccuracy drives me crazy. It's incredibly frustrating to try 5 times and still not get the correct word (and I've used it for months). So now I just use the gingerbread keyboard, which is generally less agonizing.

I have used a ton of keyboards. However, I always come back to swype or swift.

Swiftkey for me. I don't even have to type a single letter before it suggests the right word half of the time.

I loved swype at first, for a few months. Then it started to get extremely inaccurate, dunno why. When I realized it was taking 1 minute to send a 40 character text, i realized it just wasnt working anymore

Really liking swiftkey right now

I've been using SlideIT keyboard because I can shrink it. Pretty much every other keyboard I know uses up too much of the screen for my taste and is too hard to reach from below with one hand. Minuum keyboard is even smaller than SlideIT's minimum, but it's overkill. I might use it on a 5.5+ inch device and probably not in its smallest mode.

Swype for me. I've thought about giving swiftkey another go, but I'm loving swype, so no need.

Yeah, my swype accuracy comes and goes. Most of the time its incredibly accurate, and then I'll have an "off day" where my thumb just isn't accurate enough and It'll get a ton of words wrong. Still, most days its great (probably one bad day every two weeks to a month).

Damn necro. I start looking for Swiftkey beta in the store, no joy. I see the date now. ack.
I use Swiftkey Beta because of the dedicated number row, it's great on the Note 3.

Google Keyboard

I used to use the Samsung one, but had switched to the Google Keyboard after a while and never looked back.

Google Keyboard, for me I feel it has the best combination of swipe typing and prediction, plus it looks nice and I like the layout, especially things like the symbol placement on the main keyboard.

Three years ago, this was true for me... But now it's all about Swiftkey!

I was wondering why the little arrow appeared next to this thread - a three year old necro to the day of the last post!

Anyhow, I've also moved onto Swiftkey now that it supports swiping.

You can scale Swype now.
I've started using the new Hodor keyboard. I find it's the best way to get my point across.
Does the new app make this old joke funny again? Aaargh

Another interesting keyboard is Minumm keyboard, because it's very small, only a few lines tall compared to most keyboards that take a third or even half of the screen. The only problem I have with it is that it is annoying to input words that aren't in its dictionary. If only they had Swiftkey's prediction.
