What is your favorite discontinued soda?

Elpool, the red mountain dew is in full swing here in Florida.. It's not bad, but not exceptionally good either.

I thought Crystal Pepsi kicked ass.. tasted like citrus pepsi.

I had Josta once - that was great also. They never introduced it in Florida (only in certain places) Also, someone said Coke owned Josta but Pepsi actually owns Josta.

Cheerwine is good stuff.. but you can only get it in North Carolina (as far as I know)

Also, in North Carolina, I remember getting Wild Cherry Pepsi - but it actually tasted like wild cherry pepsi (and it was bright red) and that was about 8 years ago. It was way better than the 'Wild Cherry' Pepsi we can buy now.

they don't give us Floridians any of the cool drinks!!!

Also, for the person who said Coke 2 tasted like Pepsi, the whole purpose of Coke 2 was to make it taste like Pepsi - because people were switching to Pepsi because it tasted better.

There was (ohboy am I dating myself now) at one time a candy that you put in tap water that supposedly turned it into a fizzy drink that resembled coke, sprite, mountain dew, etc. I think the candy was called bottle caps because they were stamped to look like them. However, they were more like Alka-Seltzers. You had to make sure it was completely disolved otherwise you got a snoot full of effervescents and pass out or belch like crazy (which is the point of all kids ages 4-10 and 35 ).

WERK - I'm not sure if it was that soldier drink or not, but it sure was tasty. Was that soldier drink Carbonated at all? Yoohoo is different all together because it has no bubbles. That's what made the Chocolate soda so good... It was fizzy AND it was chocolate!



brxndxn- The reason that you guys don't get the cool drinks is simple... Look what your state did to the election and the little Cuban boy... You guys Jacked that stuff up pretty good. Heaven forbid you get your hands on something important like soda, we'd have another Civil War!

By the way... Crystal Pepsi went away because it didn't taste like Citrus Pepsi. In fact, it tasted like a concoction of Cow crap, post Taco Bell vomit, and the home made Pepsi that Marge made for Lisa to take to the school dance. Except it was clear.

Recently I've run into a number of people that are starting their own soda companies. I know a couple of guys at Stanford that have just started a company that makes a Surge type drink that is derived from Hemp seed. It tastes like complete nast, but it had lots of caffeine.

Have any of you guys heard of the drink BAWLS? I got some at a huge LAN party earlier this year and that stuff was tasty and it gave me the shakes. Good stuff!

If your ever in the Atlanta area, go to the World of Coca-Cola center. The whole tour sucks monkey balls, but there's a spot where they got like all you can drink all coke products, even some of the old stuff that you really can't find anywhere (I drank some funky stuff from south america that turned my stomach for the night). Anyway, just a thought.

I dunno if it's discontinued or not, but it's regional. Some kind of blueberry
soda I had when I visited my friend in New York (where it's cold even in
freaking July). It was *very* *very* good.

Mr Pibb is down here in MS, so is Tab. RC is here if you look hard enough (ie drive
outside of the town).

The one soda I hope never disappears is Barqs. Biloxi is the home of this stuff, and
*everyone* drinks it.

Yeah the original Dr Pepper rocks. Its a shame its hard to get/expensive. The only place that makes it is the original bottling plant outside of Waco. I used to have a link for a place you can buy it online, but I don't seem to have it anymore.

Mr Pibb is owned by Coca-Cola, every movie theater I've been in has Mr Pibb and not Dr Pepper. Why RC is still around I have no f'ing clue, that sh!t is NASTY. Jolt is harder to find in Texas, the year and a half I was in Maine, you could find it EVERYWHERE, and in Maine they have stores on just about every corner(or so it seemed like).
