We are having a LAN party this weekend and I was wondering what your favorite multiplayer game is? We normally play UT and Quake3 but we also have a lot of new games with multiplayer capability that we have not tried over the network yet.
depending on how many people you got coming, you could do a age of empires 2: the conquerors if youve got it, i findthat pretty fun, except that the game might take a few hours. also i like counterstrike myself. maybe even some return to castle wolfenstein

NOTHING is better for LAN parties than Myth/Myth II. It is crazy fun and funny to boot. Its awesome! Also, you only need one CD as the game has a "Network Install" made just for LAN parties for the other people. They won't need a CD.
With four guys, Unreal Tournament with bots filling out the teams is alot of fun. The Assult maps, where one team defends objectives while the other attacks are a blast.
Insane. It's an older off road racing game that has a ton of different game types. It's a blast. We played that quite a bit last weekend at our LAN party.
Plus, you should be able to find it in the bargain bin if you don't have it.
i'm sure me and my friends are the only ones who plays this... but I love Hereos of Might and Magic. I've plaed I, II and III and can't wait for IV to come out! Great LAN game! or if you want.. you can hot seat it on one computer!
